Pre-heat the grill to high. Grease a 20cm square baking dish with a little butter (as needed). Slice the hot cross buns (1 pack) in half and spread with a bit of mustard (1 tbsp). Add a slice of ham (4 slices) to each, and scatter ¾ of the grated Gruyère (75 g) across the four buns, then sandwich them closed.

Arrange buns snugly in the baking dish.

Pour over the cheddar cheese sauce (1 pack) and sprinkle with the remaining Gruyère (25 g)

Grill the buns for 8-12 minutes, until golden, bubbling and deliciously gooey.
