Expensive but good.
Yes, I recommend this
It took my a while to make this purchase because other similar chairs are up to £100 cheaper. The trouble is, I tried it the shop and it is very comfortable to sit on. It does support your back very well and it is easy to adjust. I don't know that it is worth £100 extra over similar offerings but the ability to try before you buy is what swayed it. Anyway, if you fancy a power nap at your desk it's ace...

Sturdy, comfortable, good looking, small gripes
Yes, I recommend this
As I write this, I'm sitting on the Jackson office chair from M&S. Needed a new chair for my new office in our new house for working from home most of the week for the foreseeable. Wanted 'ergonomic' but comfortable, fully adjustable, reclining and erm, modest in looks (not some huge, leatherette gaming monster). I'm around 175cm tall and pretty light at 60kg. Spent a looong time searching through the gazillions of online chair options conscious that you can spend a lot of money on something that you use for many hours every day that you cannot return once built. Gulp. Order: Delivered 7 days after order in good shape and I could choose my delivery slot with tracking available from the courier. Build: Parts were well packaged and the instructions were clear. Having recently built my wife's (cheaper) office chair, I appreciated some of the quality. Bolt holes and threads were clear of rubbish and the material is finished properly around all the seams. On the whole, the chair feels solid. One little niggle. One of the arms is maybe 5-10mm lower than the other despite the chair seat being level and the mountings being equal. They are independently height adjustable so practically not a problem. Looks: I was after something that looked neat in a fairly small space and the almost see-through mesh back in the sales picture looked good for that. In reality, it is pretty much as good as anticipated. The height-adjustable head rest does leave the chair tall but the mesh cover makes it less visible in the room. The chrome legs look better than the usual black plastic and I think again make the chair look smaller somehow. Now the most important thing. Comfort: Adjustability. Yep as expected it adjusts where you need it. Tilt: The back moves independently from the seat reclining back to maybe 45 degrees to the floor. I set the tensioner to the minimum but still needs a slight push with my legs to go back (I am pretty light though). Seat. Supportive cushion maybe 3cm give if you push your thumb in. Soft fabric but looks like it could look dirty over time :^p Used most days for three weeks now and no sign of permanent squashing in the cushion. Head rest. Adjusts up and down by maybe 5cm. Angle OK but find I only use it when reclined. Arm rests. Wide and well padded. Back mesh. About the right 'give' in the fabric but the back is where my only real gripe is. Take a look at the lumbar support in the picture. Yes. It looks quite large and it is. It pushes into your lower back/belt line and is not adjustable. When I lean with my upper back against the mesh, I feel my shoulders are a little further back from the desk than perfect. However it is not hard and it makes you sit up straight (with your stomach pushed out) but I imagine it's not for everyone. Overall though, a comfortable, solid chair and I'm happy with it.
