Low and no alcohol at M&S

Our amazing selection of low-alcohol drinks have been created by M&S experts to offer the same great flavour as your regular drink, while keeping alcohol content in check. Our 0.5% ABV spirits are distilled in proper copper stills and are used as the base for our low-alcohol cocktail tinnies, too. Plus, we have top-quality sparkling teas that make a great alternative to a celebratory glass of fizz, as well as low-alcohol swaps for lagers and ales.

Cheers to that!

That's the spirit

Our low-alcohol Botanicals are crafted in copper stills and contain bespoke blends of top-quality ingredients. Discover your new favourite tipple.

Berry good
A great alternative to gin, 0.5% Strawberry & Basil Botanical is a fruity low-alcohol spirit flavoured with juicy strawberries and fresh basil alongside extracts of blackcurrant for a final fruity, tart twist. Pair it with our M&S elderflower tonic and garnish with strawberry slices and some basil leaves.

Simply the zest
Our 0.5% Lemon & Rosemary Botanical is a citrusy low-alcohol spirit with classic Mediterranean flavours of zesty lemon and aromatic rosemary with a hint of juniper. Top up with soda, sugar syrup and a squeeze of lemon and serve for a mocktail version of a Tom Collins.

Feeling spicy?
Our 0.5% Golden Spiced Botanical has warming notes of cinnamon, allspice, and ginger – why not try it with ginger ale as a delicious alternative to spiced rum? Or mix with cola and a squeeze of lime for a classic low-alcohol Cuba Libre.

A cheeky tinnie with a clear head

Our low-alcohol tinnies are made in the same way as their boozy counterparts, so there's no compromise on taste.

Let’s get fizzical
Looking for a low-alcohol alternative to sparkling wine? We've worked with a British fermentary which slowly ferments premium Darjeeling tea. Choose from our Collection low-alcohol Frizzantea brut with peach and blackcurrant, or Collection low-alcohol Frizzantea rosé with hints of red berries and smooth vanilla. They're perfect for parties.

Fresh and fruity
If you love our classic cocktail tinnies, these low-alcohol versions are a great option. Our refreshing 0.5% low-alcohol Pink Passion Star blends passion fruit and raspberry juices with a real botanical distillate made from lavender, cardamom and pink peppercorns with a hint of vanilla. Our 0.5% low-alcohol Peach Sunset, meanwhile, is a fruity combination of peach purée along with white grape and complex distillate (made by distilling a selection of botanicals).

We'll drink to that.

All "ale" our low-alcohol beers

Sometimes, there’s nothing better than opening a cold beer at the end of a long day. If you’re not drinking for whatever reason, but still want the same refreshing sip, you need to try one of our low-alcohol beers (all 0.5% ABV).

Our Low Alcohol Czech Lager has been brewed specially by the Litoval Brewery in Czechia with Žatec hops for a super crisp and refreshing low-alcohol Pilsner lager.

If you like things a little fruity, we’ve teamed up with Renegade Brewery in Yattendon, Berkshire for our Low Alcohol Peach Pale Ale. With a bright citrus aroma upfront, smooth biscuity malt and oats, pine and citrus notes from hops and a mouth-wateringly peachy taste, it’ll quickly become your go-to drop.

Our Low Alcohol British Craft Lager is lovingly made by Hepworth Brewery in Billingshurst, West Sussex. The head brewer has selected the perfect hops and malts for a crisp and refreshing lager, then blended in a little agave to add body and flavour.

And fans of a pale ale will love our malty and aromatic Low Alcohol Pale Ale brewed exclusively for M&S by Adnams Brewery in Suffolk.

How much should you drink?

For most of us, the odd glass of wine or beer may be associated with pleasure, socialising and relaxing. However, the NHS says regularly drinking more than 14 units of alcohol a week can have an adverse effect on our health and wellbeing.

Under current guidelines for alcohol consumption, both men and women are advised to drink no more than 14 units of alcohol per week on a regular basis. This equates to about five pints of beer, six glasses of wine or five double gin and tonics. It’s also recommended that you don’t ‘save up’ these units for one or two days, but instead spread them out, if you regularly drink 14 units of alcohol a week. Pregnant women are also advised not to drink alcohol.
