Heat your air fryer to 160°C. Add the milk (175 ml) and lemon juice (1/2) to a jug, then set aside.

Mix the flour (350 g) and baking powder (1 tsp) in a bowl. Rub in the butter (85 g) using your fingertips, until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Add the sugar (3 tbsp) to the milk and mix well. Gradually pour the milk mixture into the flour and fold together until you have a smooth dough.

Place the dough onto a lightly dusted work surface. Bring it together into a ball, then flatten slightly. Using a 5cm cutter, cut out the scones. You may need to reshape the dough to get all 6 scones.

Pop into the air fryer basket and lightly brush the tops with egg wash (1) (you will need to do this in two batches). Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown on top.

Leave to cool for 5 minutes, then dig in with plenty of clotted cream (6 tbsp) and jam (6 tbsp).
