Method

step 1
Heat a large pan over a medium-high heat. Melt the butter (20 g), then add the thinly sliced onion (1). Lower the heat to low and cook for around 15 minutes, until the onions are soft and sticky. Once soft, add the hot honey sauce (2 tbsp) and a splash of water, then cook for another 5 minutes until caramelised and gooey. Set aside.
step 2
Meanwhile, cook the burgers (2) according to the pack instructions, either on the barbecue or under the grill, for 20-25 minutes, until the juices run clear. Top with the cheese (2 slices) for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking time, until melted on top.
step 3
Add the bacon bits (25 g) to the garlic mayo (4 tbsp) and mix well.
step 4
Lightly toast the pretzel rolls (2) and then spread a generous layer of baconaise to the bottom half of each bun. Top with the burger, followed by the tomato (1), lettuce (1/2 head), hot honey caramelised onions and more baconaise on the lid, if you’d like.
