Split the M&S brioche burger buns (4) in half.

Whisk together the eggs (4), light brown sugar (60 gram) and milk (40 g). Add the roll halves to the egg mixture and allow to soak for 1-2 minutes on each side.

Halve and stone the cherries (200 g).

Heat a large frying pan over a medium heat, add a small knob of butter (1 knob) and a drizzle of sunflower oil, then place half of the roll pieces into the pan and cook for roughly 2 minutes on each side, until golden. Cover and keep warm while cooking the remaining 4 roll halves.

To serve, place a piece of the French toast onto each plate, then add the crème fraîche (200 ml) and cherries on top before sprinkling with a little more soft light brown sugar (60 g) if desired and finishing with a roll lid.
