Pure British Wool Checked Car Coat

This coat is perfect! It’s not too heavy, but still wonderfully warm, especially with other wool layers. Please, M&S and Jaeger, more items like this that are NOT synthetic blends.

I’ve been wanting a new smart wool coat and this fitted the bill. I didn’t want the coat too long. It’s comfortable and smart. I like the cut of the pockets, the colour way and the fact it is British made.

The tweed was very attractive in earthy green shades and the photo online was true. It was also a thick material which would be warm. I would say it is true to size I am a14 but Jaeger coats are generous in size so ordered a 12. It was not quite big enough to fit a thicker jumper underneath so sent it back and ordered a 14 and this fitted well. I wish M&S would provide measurements of Jaeger garments even approximate ones, it would reduce the returns due to wrong size being ordered. I didn't keep the coat because the pockets were untidily finished at the top corners quality control must have missed this. I would still recommend the coat as it could have been just one that was not checked carefully.
