Very nice fit, I could have got away with a 10 in this but the 12 still looked good. Side concealed zip to the dress which is good. Much longer than I anticipated but I didn’t read the model height before purchasing and it probably would have told me the information here. Very light weight which was good for what I needed it for.

Generous fit
Generous fit. Feels nice to wear. Drapes nicely over body. Occasionally I buy a dress that’s nice but am constantly checking my appearance but this dress is so nice I don’t need to check if the hem is ok or the waist is sitting right. I bought this for a funeral but will dress it up for other occasions.

As with all Finery fitted dresses I had to upsize because I always find the bust area in their dresses to be a very snug fit. The dress in the correct size fitted me perfectly. The crepe material hangs beautifully and doesn’t crease. I love the silver buttons which make the dress look extra special. The midi length is perfect and I love the pointed collar and overall shape of the dress which is fitted at the top but then flares out to an A-line skirt. It’s very flattering. The perfect little black dress to wear for any day or evening occasion.

I bought this lovely Finery dress to wear to a funeral. It was perfect. The style, material and details are lovely. It is smart enough to wear for a formal occasion but could equally be worn to work or out for an evening. I love the silver buttons on it. I decided to buy the dress in my true size and buy one in the next size up too and I’ve kept both of them as the slightly bigger one can be pulled in for a streamlined look with a wide or narrow belt. I’m delighted with my purchases. These are dresses that are a wonderful investment piece that will never date as their vintage look is so beautiful. Would love more of this sort of style in other colours.

This is such a smart black dress. Lovely material and the buttons are so pretty. It is longer than on the model and I am 5ft 7inches in height. Bottom hem of dress shows below a normal length winter coat so best wearing with a jacket, cardigan or warm short jacket coat. I highly recommend buying it. The Finery label is also quality.
