Cotton Blend Embroidered Midi Shirt Dress

This is a beautiful design and a lovely shape but unfortunately I returned this item because of the fabric, the sleeves and embroidered pieces are a different fabric to the rest of the dress and make a rustling sound with every movement

Lovely comfortable dress and the sleeves make it a bit different from usual. More bronze than silver stitching but a nice detail. Had a few compliments when I’ve worn it.

I bought this dress in two sizes 14 and 16 as I am often in between these sizes in White Stuff and other retailers. I found the 14 had ample size and I had no issue with the buttons across the bust which usually is an issue for me when purchasing buttoned clothing. I would say the size 14 is generous for this dress. The dress is quite striking although I found in person that the gold pattern on the sleeves is less vibrant in person. The sleeves are made from a different material to the rest of the dress and create a rustling sound. The dress would have benefitted from a belt as it is not that form fitting although this is a matter of taste and I will wear a belt with this dress when I wear it.

I bought the navy and green versions of this dress in the Summer and have loved them. This black dress with silver detail is perfect for party season but can be worn all year too.

Lovely - looks reasonably dressy with embroidered yoke and sleeve detail, but very comfortable. Drapes well. Minor concern about the jersey against the button placket down the front, as the jersey drapes and stretches a bit but the placket does not, and this may worsen with wear - I would take care to dry flat as stretching of the jersey will make it bag around the buttons more. All in all very happy with it. Also - good sizeable pockets!!
