Cantilever Base Weight

The weights come in a set of 4 and look very nice. They are heavy enough to weigh the parasol down but we put a couple quite heavy plant pots on ours just to be sure. They are a bit expensive but they are an attractive design as well as functional and look a lot nicer than paving slabs!

When I bought this I thought that I was getting a weighted base into which I could put my parasol, as the picture seemed to show. When I opened the two packs, there were 4 slabs that only fitted into the base of the cantilever parasol.

Even in a light breeze the parasol looked as if it could blow over. The base weight is not heavy enough for this size of parasol. It is also poor value as 4 concrete paving slabs would do the same job at a fraction of the cost.

Great base and easy assemble very stable.

Bought the cantilever umbrella as it had this base which had these weights as did not want to bother with sandbags or water filled tanks which others recommended. They are very weighty and the position of your umbrella needs to be worked out as shifting around is not an easy option.

This base is ideal for the cantilever parasol, we have quite strong winds in our garden and so far the base has kept the parasol stable. It is heavy and a strong young friend is useful to put it in place.
