Add the apple juice (1 L), butter (100 g), cinnamon sticks (3), star anise (4), nutmeg (1/2) to a large pan and gently heat through for around 5 minutes, until the juice is warm and the butter has melted.

Using a speed peeler, peel a few strips of tangerine zest (3) and add it to the pan and squeeze in the juice.

Remove from the heat and whisk in the rum (180 ml), if using. Serve in mugs or glasses.
