You will need two cocktail sticks to create the swirl pattern.

Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas mark 4. Add the pastry tarts (6) to a lined baking tray. Pour the custard (500 ml) into the tartlet cases, being careful not to let them overflow.

Using a teaspoon, carefully dot five small circles of strawberry sauce (2 tbsp) around the custard on each tart.

Using the cocktail sticks, draw a circle starting in the custard through the centre of the strawberry circles, to create little heart shapes.

Bake the tarts for 30 minutes, until the custard has set but still has a slight wobble.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before digging in.
