Moab Speed 2 Mid GTX Walking Boots

Highly recommended for the comfort and support the Moab Speed 2 Mid GORE-TEX provided. We wore it for long moderate to challenging hikes (for instance, those historic pilgrim paths). Even after long hours of wear, the feet do not feel sore, certainly not hurt. It’s not exactly water proof, but at least offers same level of comfort and support after air-dry from a complete soak episode.

I bought these to hike in the mountains near Salt Lake City. They are warm, water proof, have traction and my feet feel wonderful!

I have been wearing various Merrill shoes (Coldpax in the Winter & Jungle Mocs the rest of the year) for several yrs. I keep buying them because the fit, quality & look has always been the same: hands down excellent. I expected the Moab 2 Mid Gore-Tex to be the same, & it is. If I could have only 1 Winter boot, a boot I could use for running errands &/or walking my Westies, then this Moab would be the one I'd keep (although I REALLY like my 2 pairs of Coldpax!!!).

This hiker looked and felt great. Sadly I was unable to keep them. The sizing just didn't work for me. Size 10 felt a full size too big and 9.5 my toes were at the end.

My wife loves these shoes. She has a bad knee and hip. These shoes helped to minimize her pain while she hiked Banff.

When my husband and I decided to take a trip to Iceland, my main concern was that I was going to be cold the entire time (I’m always cold), but more specifically, that my feet would be cold. There is nothing worse than cold, wet feet. After nine days of trekking through, behind, over, and under waterfalls, stomping through black sand beaches and many, many, icy puddles while enduring nonstop rain, I’m happy to report that these shoes delivered! Not only did my feet stay dry through all of the above conditions, they were extremely comfortable! Also worth noting: I did not wear or break them in before the trip—fresh out of the box they felt great! I ordered my usual size as well as a half size up and ended up going with my usual size. I wore them with thick wool socks and they were perfect. Highly recommend!

Great hiking boots. Hiked the Tetons and Sawtooth Mountains in them. Great fit and light weight!

Quite stiff around the ankle area. I feel quite painful after a few minutes wear. Originally I thought maybe because the shoes are new, but still I feel really uncomfortable after a few tries. And the most important thing is they won’t accept return because I wore it for. a couple hours.

So far so good in Camino prep , boot comfortable and snug around my ankle following a previous ankle injury .

Incredible comfort with these boots. These were so great for a recent trip with some days walking up to 20000 steps.

Comfortable and light with support. The top hooks( for the laces) protrude out too much definitely a tripping hazard while hiking. A vine from a blackberry bush was caught in the hook while hiking through a narrow trail. I had to push the hooks down with pliers to prevent future mishaps. Otherwise a great pair of hiking shoes.
