Although M&S short is nowadays far too long for me after washing them they shrank in the wash and are now a perfect length. Worth the risk buying. Good fit, fabric and wide flare

Weeks ago I bought a black pair of these trousers and was very pleased with the fit and quality. This pair of brown trousers were smaller when compared to the previous trousers and much thinner material. Marks and Spencer need to review their quality control as this is happening quite often now.

I’m a primary school teacher so comfort, wearability and budget are my top priorities and these trousers thick those boxes. I’ve had them on a few different fabrics now. They wash well and dry quickly and you don’t get saggy knee like with some jersey trousers. My only criticism is that the hem on the most recent pair wasn’t sewn very well and came down after one wash. It looks like it was initially stuck together with hemming tape. I can repair this but it’s a little annoying.

I was delighted to see these came in different leg lengths (A* M&S!), I bought the blue in 'extra short', I'm 5' 2 and they're perfect, though if wearing heels you could go for 'short'. Very comfortable and easy to wear - not washed them yet, but thus far I'm really impressed for the price!
