So comfortable and good support

This is my second pair of Salomon trainers and I think they’re more comfortable than the last. Usually I find a new pair of trainers take a little bit of time to adjust to but not these! I would definitely recommend them.

Finally, a shoe that delivers! Best toe box EVER! Other than inner-foot-inseam by laces rubbing & wearing off from my foot in motion, I consider these EXCELLENT shoes for hikes & EVERYDAY use. Love rocking motion design.

Comfortable Multi purpose trainers

I got these shoes for both hiking and everyday wear. They felt a bit uncomfortable at first, but they just needed some breaking in. Now, I'm looking forward to my hike next week!

Poorly made shoes

No, I don't recommend this
I bought these shoes less than a month ago and I wanted to love them, however hey have been a huge disappointment. The stitching has already begun to come apart, the label on the tongue is coming off and they are visibly ripping open on the outside. Not impressed at all.

I always buy Salomon walking shoes and boots with gortex but needed something fresher for the hotter months. These are very comfortable and surprisingly light and fresh. They do come a bit roomier than my gortex ones, which for some people might be an issue but for me is not a problem. I think half a size smaller may be a better fit in the case of these shoes (but I will keep mine to allow for extra space for long walks when feet swell up a bit)

Still can’t believe how comfortable these are! So light, and feel far less rigid and restrictive than walking boots. Really pleased.

Great shoes

I've worn Salomon hiking shoes and ski boots for many years. As soon I put them on they fit. I never get blisters when walking or hiking. The only draw back for me is I can never find the same pair twice.

Very comfy, good for wide feet

My feet are wider so I really enjoy this shoe. The heel is pretty snug but the toe is super wide, which gives my foot a lot of room. Since it's so wide, it does feel like my toes move a bit, but I like that. You might want to consider before purchasing though.

Good support and like the added cushion. I have worn XAPro since 2019 but wasn’t thrilled with the latest version. I have tested them out on 2 short 5 mile hikes. Did well. Plan to use them in Spain in September on the Camino Primitivo.

I was a Salomon wearer for years and transitioned to other brands with a larger toe-box. Ready for a new lite hiker, I purchased the Elixir Activ on sale - while not my first choice of style, the sale price made me select this. I could not be happier. The style is fine, even for wearing out on daily errands. Hoping the shoe does not wear out early. For now, Salomon is my new-again go-to.

Most comfy hiking shoe I have owned!

I bought non-goretex version as these hiking shoes look like sneakers so I wanted to get them for gym wear and everyday work wear as they are so comfy from the get go. I didn't need to break into them. I have had them about for over a month and I have worn them around 7-8 times they have been very comfortable and I am seriously considering getting the boot version of Elixir hiking shoes for hiking. Also I just ordered another pair as in my recent trip to Vancouver I left them behind at a hotel so very sad about that. I am sure these would be amazing for hiking too but I bought them for everyday wear and small hikes during summers. About sizing I am so glad I went to try them on because my size in most brands is 7.5 but I found in salomons I went half a size down over all so my size is 7 and it fits my feet perfectly.
