The worst!!

I've spent more time taking this toy apart and putting it back together than my son has spent actually playing with it. You see, he's too little to realize that if the till drawer isn't closed all the way, the coins will get stuck behind it. So I am constantly having to unscrew all the tiny screws, pry this toy apart, and free the coins. I think next time, the whole thing will just go in the garbage.

Disappointed

I really liked the concept of this toy, but the design is really bad. My daughter had placed the coins when the drawer was open and the coins will get stuck behind the cash register drawer. I have yet to figure out how to unscrew the bottom, so I have had to forcefully close the drawer and hope that the coin "slips" through the back between the upper half and the bottom half of the cash register. I have had to tell my 4 year old daughter that she can't put coins in, unless the drawer is closed. That is really hard concept for a 4 year old to remember. I have always liked Leap Frog products, but this was a huge disappointment.

Poor Design - Coins get stuck

If the coins are inserted while the drawer is open they fall behind the drawer and get stuck. The whole bottom has to be unscrewed to fix the problem. This is a terrible design.

Love LeapFrog Count Along Cash Register for Kids

Kids love playing with play food and coins. They use their imagination and really get a feel for what its like work at a grocery store being a cashier. The Count Along Register helps kids with learning skills such as numbers, counting and colors. Making them familiar with these helps to reinforce them in their learning environment and they remember them in long term and in real situations. I love that there is a volume control as well as little requests from the register to clean up isles, and pick up different types of fruit. The fun little songs get my little one Dancing and shaking his little butt. Its so fun to pay for grocery's too by adding them to the slot on the top of the register or by opening the drawer. The fruit is a great size for little hands and this comes with 20 pieces total which includes Fruit, grocery items, 10 coins and a shopping card. The register pad is fun and colorful and really inviting. The cute little voice is adorable and little one's kids want to have a conversation with the register as it talks. It's super cute. Even my older kids want to come over and play when my grandson is playing. It's fun play time with little one's

The Kids Were Captivated!

Abby and Charlotte (2 and 5) absolutely loved this toy! They enjoyed the realistic play of scanning the objects and loved the cash register screen that looks similar to a smartphone. At 2 Charlotte focused her attention on scanning items, pushing buttons on the screen, scanning her debit card and placing the coins in the machine. 5-year-old Abby enjoyed making sure she paid with the "right" amount of money. With over 50 phrases and songs, this toy is likely to keep your children busy and having fun for a long time! Fun for kids and worth the price.

Great Role Play Toy!

My girls have spent hours playing "store" with this toy since it arrived at our home last week. This is an educational toy that feels more like a toy than a lesson. The count along register teaches, shapes, colors, and counting--including the all-important one to one correspondence. My girls love the songs and sayings that the register produces. I love that they are reviewing key skills AND enjoying imaginative play. Disclosure: I was given this toy in return for my honest review. I was not required to give a positive review, and, as always, all opinions are my own.

I received the Leapfrog Count Along Cash Register free in order to share my honest opinion as a reviewer. My daughter is two and she absolutely loved the Count Along Cash Register. The Count Along Cash Register tells the item and the color for your child to scan to buy teaching them colors and new words. The register actually opens and closes just like you are cashing out an actual sale. It would tell my daughter the actual cost of the item and she would count out the play money that comes with the Count Along Cash Register. The register would let her know she had the right amount and then she would go to the next sale. She loves it! She has played and played with The Count Along Cash Register. I love that she loves it and is learning at the same time! I would recommend anyone to purchase the Count Along Cash Register for their little one!

I gave the Count Along Cash Register to my friend's girls who are ages 2 and 4 and both were completely captivated with this toy. The 2-year-old was not interested in following the directions but she LOVED being able to scan the products and stick the coins in the register. The four-year-old was able to follow the directions and "pay" the right amount of money. Both girls loved running the credit card through the machine. This is a great toy that has lasting value and will be played with over and over.

First, I would have LOVED this toy as a child. Playing store was always so much fun, and now even small tots can get in on the action. The items and coins are the perfect size for little hands, and the variety of songs and phrases will keep them coming back again and again. (If you're one that doesn't like "noisy" toys, this probably isn't a good fit, tho it does have a volume control.) The little scanner is my favorite part and works with other items, so there are so many shopping possibilities. ***I received this item free-of-charge in exchange for an honest review.***

The Count Along Cash Register has been keeping my 2 children busy! Even though this is recommended for ages 2-4, my 5 and 8 year olds both love this. It is teaching my 5 year old how to count money and my 8 year old enjoys playing with her little brother with it. Great gift!!

Technically my daughter is above the recommended age, but she loves playing "store" and loves her new interactive cash register especially that it comes with items in addition to currency. Definitely a really fun toy, and I recommend for anyone who wants to play store!

Learning to Count with Money

I was excited for this toy and I was happy to see it in the mail when it arrived. This will be the perfect toy to help introduce counting to my almost two year old and to continue the teaching of counting and introduce adding to my almost four year old. The colors are bright and fun and the coin slot that empties in the cash register is fun and makes it easy for clean up.

We gave this count along register to our 2 year old for her birthday and she loves it! She loves to ring up food and then pay by putting her coins into the register. The register counts along and if she gives too many, it tells her, ooops, that is too much! If she slides the green card it will sing songs and share what is on sale. I love how it not only tells what the food is, but the color as well, making it a multi-skill teaching toy. Her faces lights up each time she presses the red release button and the coin drawer pops open so she can play again. It's a toy that is played with over and over each day!
