The Swartland, one of South Africa’s oldest vine growing regions, boasts a diverse mix of grape varieties, all of which thrive in the warm arid summer, nourished by the moisture retaining soil. Internationally renowned Adi Badenhorst has crafted this wine for M&S from Chenin Blanc for apricots flavours, Grenache Blanc for the stony core, Verdhelho for freshness and Viognier for seductive peach. Using no oak and minimal handling to retain freshness there may be harmless sediment. As Adi says ‘The joy of a blend is choice and variety and the wherewithal to create a tapestry of flavours. This is a wine to sip and relish, to pause and process the flavours and to mull over the aftertaste.
