What's in season in June

A little-known fact is that the Isle of Wight gets more sun than some parts of Spain, making it the perfect little microclimate for growing juicy, sweet tomatoes. I went down there myself to meet tomato grower, Brian Moralee, who’s been growing tomatoes for M&S for more than 20 years. He grows their exclusive varieties, like dark-coloured Yoom and Pink Oishi, with their delicate, umami flavour. When tomatoes taste as good as this, I like to keep them simple – toss juicy tomatoes with crispy sourdough and olive oil dressing until the bread soaks up all those lovely flavours in my tomato and sourdough salad recipe.
