What is Provence rosé?
Light, elegant and unmistakably chic, Provence rosé has become the go-to pour for sunshine sipping. “Provence rosé has grown hugely in popularity in the last 10 years. These wines have a crisp minerality, which people love,” says M&S wine expert Belinda Kleinig.
Named after the Provence region in the south of France where it’s produced, this style of rosé is known for its pale, salmon-pink colour and dry, refreshing flavour. Think delicate citrus, ripe red berries and a clean, crisp finish – perfect for warm days and al fresco feasts.
Rosé is the one of oldest known wines so there’s a real sense of tradition in every glass. From fruity Coteaux Varois to our must-try new La Balconne rosé, discover the bottles our wine experts are tipping for summer.
