Caleidoscopio Sangiovese Touriga Nacional Caladoc - Case of 6

Sorry, this item is no longer available

Zingy, vibrant red blend bursting with full-bodied character. Rich cherry and olive flavours come from the Sangiovese grape; pure, sweet cassis and firm structure from the Touriga variety, and juicy spiciness from Caladoc – a cross between Grenache and Malbec.

M&S winemaker Jeneve Williams was thrilled to work with Argentine innovators the Zuccardi family where winemaker Gustavo Martinez made it possible for Jeneve to create this unique blend of Italian, Portuguese and French grape varieties. It is rare for such a fabulous range of classic grapes to thrive in one place, but here at the family's Santa Julia estate the personality of each is encouraged to shine brightly.

Tried for the first time

Yes, I recommend this

Enjoyable wine, good subtle flavours. Goes well on its own or with red meat , tried with home made Chilli and not overpowered. Would like to buy again but unfortunately out of stock already.

A great flavour - most unusual.

Yes, I recommend this

Very delicious with a complex series of flavours that unfold as you taste, drink and swallow. I would certainly buy this one again. Rich and fruity and full of character.

Unusual blend

Yes, I recommend this

It's no surprise that this unusual blend is inspired by Zuccardi. When we visited the winery on our honeymoon they had all sorts of out-of-the-ordinary grapes fermenting! Savoury, herbaceous, nose. Plenty of red fruit character, grippy acidity and a real hit of cracked black pepper. A nice wine, but lacking the smooth, subtle power I enjoy.
