Put the M&S Remarksable Value granulated white sugar (100 g) into a pan with 50ml water. Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved, then leave to cool completely.

Put 10ml of the sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker with the M&S Distilled Seville orange gin (50 ml), M&S Spanish blood orange juice (50 ml), the lemon juice (10 ml) and the torn Thai basil (1 sprig).

Add a handful of ice and shake well until cold.

Strain into a martini or coupe glass and garnish with the sprig Thai basil (1 sprig).
