Amarone Brigaldara - Case of 6

Sorry, this item is no longer available

Product code: 00016025

Intense ruby red in colour with a captivating bouquet of red berries, sweet and bitter cherries and baking spices. The palate is voluptuously full-bodied and lengthy, balancing richness and density with bright acidity and delicate tannins.

A good Amarone is one of Italian wine’s crowning glories – a rich and distinctive red with intense flavours. It is made by selecting the ripest bunches of grapes, drying them for several months on wooden slats then pressing and fermenting them. For this wine, winemaker Roberto Ferrarini selected local Corvinone, Corvina and Rondinella grapes from mature 25 year old vines. The grapes were left to dry for 120 days before being pressed and fermented. After fermentation, Roberto matured the wine for 12 months in French barrels, then a further 24 months in large Slavonian barrels, ensuring the wine is fully developed with bold fruity aromas.
