Great set of strides
Yes, I recommend this
Re-buying same style, but in a larger size for my daughter. The previous pairs are still good to wear after over 2 years of being worn so I know these are good quality trousers. How to improve - different leg length options would be good.

Nice feel to trouser

These felt lovely and would have kept them if they did not ‘ride low’ on the back. They are true to size, just not a great fit for my daughter

Good quality trousers with a useful inner button to tighten the waist. Slightly large fitting, otherwise would be 5 stars. Recommend.

Not very slim for slim girls
No, I don't recommend this
I did have to send back as my girl is very slim and although they have an adjustable inside waist, they were still too big and the slim leg was really a straight leg design and too baggy in my opinion. Would fit a standard size girl and they are excellent quality.

Sizing poor

I bought these for my tall almost 5 year old in age 4-5 and they absolutely swamped her in both length and on the waist ! I ended up having to buy age 3-4 despite all the rest of her uniform being 5-6. Nice trousers but sizing definitely off !

Great school trousers
Yes, I recommend this
Good sturdy school trousers for a 10 year old. We always buy the size larger but this time they were a little big -but as they were size adjustable around the waist (we’ve taken in to the max) and through the beauty of wonder web - the length has been reduced. I considered buying the size smaller, but they were too tight from groin area to tummy! Otherwise, they look stylish - are a nice cut and fit nicely!

Good, not great

Bought size 13/14 for 14 year old. Were very big & a bit too long so had to shorten. Luckily had adjustable waist. Not the most fashionable but ok for school.

Lasts so long!

I love these for my daughter, I buy a size up from her age but they do her for 2 -3 years wear then. The adjustable waist is perfect as she’s skinny & the slim legs fit her shape nicely. These are durable & still look brand new 3 years later despite being work every day & washes regularly. Definitely a good buy!

Unfortunately these trousers were far too large around the waist regardless of adjustable tabs , and also far too long. Quality seemed good but not suitable for my daughter

Smart school trousers

I think they look very smart on my daughter. She likes them too. They are very well priced considering kids how so fast!

A shame

These were great quality school trousers at a good price. The length was perfect. But the waist size was 4 inches too big for my average sized 5yr old - and that was at the smallest waist adjustment. So, I had to return them. So disappointed! Maybe elasticated waists would be more helpful? I bought the cotton jersey school trousers instead. The fit is good (but buy a smaller size because they come up very big). But they are a lot more expensive at £7 per pair.

Girls slim leg school trousers

We had bought these previously and were really pleased so decided to get new for this school year. Unfortunately they were too tight on the thigh and didn’t fit at all. Either the shape has changed or they are not so suited to my daughter’s pre teen shape. Will have to bring back.

Finding it really difficult to get standard school trousers. These are far too tight on the legs, I know they are slim fit but tried them as M&S no longer do a normal standard fit trouser. Most schools do not allow slim/skinny fit either. I think suppliers have been changed also as the quality of the material and style is not very good. My daughter feels 'fat' after trying and failing to get a good fit of trousers yet she is slim and normal size. Thanks M&S!!

Not for the curvy girl.
Yes, I recommend this
Great value for money trousers and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any young lady who is a slim build. Sadly for my daughter these trousers weren’t suitable as she is curvy, more hourglass in shape. The waist can be adjusted so that is fine, the leg length was ideal but the thighs were just too tight. ‘Straigh slimt’ leg would be a better definition. Took them back and bought a different style. If the shape is right for you then they are a great product.

Great trousers but size a bit of a lottery.

Firstly I would like to make it clear that my remarks regarding sizing, may not apply to everyone, our daughter, although 13 years old and quite tall, is also of a slight build, so buying these based on age, in our case, didn't work out straight away! We ended up having to do two exchanges, first pair ordered was 13-14 years, these were far too big and ways too long! Second pair were 12-13 years, still too big unfortunately! Third and final pair are 11-12 years and are spot on! This can be the problem when buying online of course, as you can't get your child to try them on before buying. But credit to M&S, they happily accepted each return in store and even ordered the replacement items, to be collected in store! Amazing customer service as ever! Now that we have the correct size, these look lovely on, very smart indeed! The schools uniform code is for straight legged trousers, but as our daughter is of a slight build, that would look far too baggy on her, so opted for these slim legged ones, which once on, look spot on, certainly not tight, like narrow ones. Main thing is that she is happy with them.

I wanted value for money but these feel cheap and not nice material. I am on a budget as most people are now and I bought from m&s for the first time this year as I needed a blazer and it was the recommended place to go. Decided to take advantage of some offers at the same time but am not happy with my purchases. I could have bought better quality for similar to less price elsewhere. Pitfalls of online shopping!!!

Excellent value and excellent quality, smart and easy to iron. We buy these trousers every year and they tend to last the whole year. We do find the length a little long for us, and I usually take them up. Would recommend.

Material was rather see through when not being worn but ok when on. Rather stiff scratchy fabric. Returned as not comfortable.

My 12yr old daughter is tall and well built for her age. She trains in martial arts so has a strong atheletic frame. I bought a size 14-15 in the hope that they would fit ...not a chance. She couldn’t even pull them up over her legs. Why are the leg widths so small? You do a skinny fit and a slim fit....why not s regular fit or even wider fit fir the legs??? What kind of message is this giving to young girls? They need to be encouraged to love their bodies, not feel bad cos they can’t pull their trousers up. I was hoping for better from M & S. Very disappointed.
