I bought the X Ultra 360 GTX as a lighter alternative to heavy boots for the Fall, Winter, and Spring in Canada. They are the perfect solution for city life—they handle snow and rain perfectly while keeping my feet dry. They feel firm, offer great traction on slippery surfaces, and are comfortable for long walks without looking like a bulky hiking boot. Fit Tip: These run true to size, though they have a nice, snug feel that provides great stability. Highly recommend if you're tired of clunky boots but still need serious weather protection!

I’ve used these shoes for 11 months now, walks over varied terrain, and have found it difficult to adjust the lacing in order to relieve tightness across the forefoot without the heel area becoming loose. The forefoot seems to be tight and is uncomfortable, the shoes are the same size as previous Salomon trek/trail shoes I have used over the years (a half size bigger than I use with other brands). I’ve never suffered from corms before but have developed them on both my little toes, which I think is a consequence of daily walks using these shoes. It’s a shame as previous Salomon shoes I’ve used have been exemplary.

Sold to me as a waterproof hiking boot. Excellent boots in so many other ways, but in no way are these boots waterproof - not even close

I’ve been using the shoe preferring them to boots for years. Replacing the old for new. The latest does not disappoint. Solid sole with a great upper fits straight away didn’t need to break in.

Gore-Tex is supposed to be waterproof, but these shoes are not! They do okay to repel a bit of water when walking on wet grass etc. but leak in when actually in rain or a little snow.

Shoe string broke after 3rd wear

The shoes is fine for dry and light weather but as soon as the rain turns heavy the shoe leaks, not sure Gore Tex is what it used to be!!!

The shoe overall is solid. However it caused quite some discomfort on toes and arch after a couple of hours hiking in them. They also started ungluing after 2 uses.

Caused Extreme Toe Pain

I could have just ordered the wrong size, however I ordered the size I am in every other shoe I own and it had absolutely destroyed my toes. They had no room to move at all and kept slamming against the shoe. If you really insist on getting these, definitely try some on in-store as these fit poorly.

I wanted to love these shoes, but the sole is falling apart after only 60 miles on the trail. That’s a week on a Patagonia trip of day hikes. I would look elsewhere.

Always had an x ultra, good fit, tight, hugged your feet, nothing else but a size 8. These are not great, more slippers feeling than hiking shoes, put them on the shelf last night after wearing them once, can’t help feel that’s where they will stay, now need to find something else - any suggestions appreciated.

Not overly durable at the crease

Mine lasted just over a year - part of the crease (and therefore the goretex) tore and they’re no longer waterproof. They’re comfortable enough but not amazing (my wife has Salalmons she says are super comfortable, so I’m not sure why the men’s shoes aren’t as confortable).

I bought these shoes several weeks ago to wear for golfing. I golf everyday in the morning and walk 18 holes. I have been struggling to find a golf shoe that can give me the support, comfort and traction I need while also keeping my feet dry. I have been using another pair of the same shoe for over a year and I wanted another color so I purchased these black ones. So comfortable!!!
