Don't buy this shoes if you EVER want to go outside. The sole tread is so intricate and tightly meshed that if you get any mud, leaf, etc on it, you will have to spend 20 minutes with a probe and a stiff brush trying to get it out before you can step on a carpet. Never before had a shoe that couldn't be brushed off easily. WHY have Clarks done this? There seems no point whatever in such an abnormal pattern.

This is a disappointingly poor product compared to previous shoes I have ordered from Clarks. The TILDEN shoe (no longer available) which I purchased around 2 years ago was very superior with a padded interior and insole. The HOWARD shoe which I have just purchased is clearly lower cost to manufacture without any of the nice features of my previous purchases.

I have bought Clarks shoes for years and as such ordered a pair of Howard Edge 8G online. They were however too wide and had to be returned. I then bought a pair of Glement Seam 8G from Clarks in Amersham and they fitted perfectly. The moral of the story is that 8G in one style is not necessarily 8G in another style.

These shows are not UK normal size shoes. Normally a size 8 but even 7.5 were too big.
