Pricey enough for it to give me a feeling of the quality of the toy would be good but Hiccup’s leg fell right off. Instantly as he was getting out the box so the stores need to bring down the price because if I wanted the dragon alone I would have bought him alone. My son wanted this set so we got it not thinking much of it. He’s autistic so he’s having a hard time understanding why Hiccup is broken as soon as he came out the box. Now I have a upset child

Bought this today for granddaughter. Hiccup didn't even make it out of the packaging before his leg fell off. Granddaughter loves Toothless though.

I have now bought 2 of these toys. I bought the first and hiccups leg fell off as soon as I got him out of the box. So we bought another thinking we may have too rough getting him out. Nope the 2nd one is broken too. Hiccup can't ride on toothless because of the leg falling off. This toy is not cheap and is a complete ripoff... toothless is well made. We also bought atrid and the same thing happened to her leg . Don't waste your money

Did not even get Hiccup figure out of the package and his legs fell off. The way the leg fits on the ball joint is loose and the legs will not stay on. My daughter was looking forward to this toy and is now quite disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh, isn't this little guy adorable? Thank you Butterly, Dreamworks and Spin Master for sending me and my kids this new toy for free in exchange for testing and providing a review. My kids enjoyed the original How to Train Your Dragon movie so they were excited to receive this Toothless and Hiccup combo. Their favourite definitely seems to be Toothless. With its flexible wings, movable jaw, and detailed features, he has quickly been integrated into their adventure team. For me, I like the quality feel of the toy and the fact that it doesn't need batteries. Whether the kids want to take it out while rewatching the movie or just use their imagination and plan their own escapade, I'm happy to let them keep this toy.

Going to break/lose pieces quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a really exciting looking toy. The fact that it is supposed to have a "real feel dragon wing" felt cool, and this definitely looks like a live action remake of the DreamWorks toys from the same franchise. However, the legs on Hiccup are supposed to move so that he can ride Toothless BUT they also pop off. I can see kids playing with this toy, have the leg pop off and then misplace it, resulting in them not using the toy fully. When given to my 4 year old she only wanted to play with Toothless as Hiccup doesn't do much (was very hard to move his limbs). My 8 year old also only wanted Toothless as he would then make him "fly" or incorporated it into other games. So overall, getting the dragon was the highlight of this set, and I feel that Hiccup will be relocated to the bottom of the toybox quite soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh my goodness, what a blast! My almost 10 year old son has been having a blast. He has been playing with his dragon and accessories for some time now. I am a bit jealous as it looks like so much fun. I was pleased to see that despite flexablility (to allow interactive play) within the toy, the pieces are very sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son watched all series of "Dragons" and he was very impressed by the toy. He loves how realistically the wings flap and that Toothless can open his mouth. He plays with it every day. I'm sure it's a very great figurine. We had difficulties putting Hiccup on to ride, but then he figured out how to do it. I'm happy we found something my son actually enjoys playing.

Quality could be improved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is appealing but the quality could be improved. Most of the dragon is high quality and the wings feel lifelike like it says. To attach the tail my husband had to use pliers, it wasn't as easy as popping it in. The toy man "hiccup" was really poor quality in comparison- his legs immediately fell off and are lost to the abyss of my children's rooms! I like the concept that he can sit on the dragon but without the legs that's not possible making it pointless. I think with small improvements this product can be higher quality and more fun for children (and safer).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is a huge fan of How to Train Your Dragon, and these figures are absolutely perfect for him. Toothless is his favourite dragon, and Hiccup is his hero. The amazing quality of the real feel dragon wings makes play even more fun. They bend and flap beautifully, allowing children to imagine what a dragons wings could really feel like, while guiding Hiccup on Toothless back for flying fun. We love this toy!
