Straight Leg Trousers

ordered these for work but not suitable material is see through and not flattering fit.

Bought these for my Mum, and these trousers are very smart, wash well and look great for summer. Only thing I would say is the length are longer than before, my Mum had to have them altered. Previous pairs have been fine, so best to try on in store rather than online purchase.

Bought these for my mother-in-law - always takes size 8 Short in M&S trousers. The waist was tight, the hips were baggy and the length was at least 2" too long. Where has the quality control gone which was always one of M&S's strong points?

I bought these for elderly aunt, almost didn't order them as they were described as having zip and hook and bar fastening, she wanted pull on style. Pleasantly surprised on finding they did not have zip fastening.

Good basic trousers for wearing around house and garden, but not smart enough for evening or going out anywhere. Fabric obviously polyester.

I feel confident that these trousers will be useful and will suit a number of occasions. They wash well and drip dry so that they always look good. I have this style and cut in two other colours.

My mum has always worn short length Classic brand trousers which fitted perfectly but these are about 2 inches too long! On this occasion I have taken the hems up on the 2 pairs she purchased but in future will have to look elsewhere. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing as other people have experienced the same problem.

I bought these trousers for work as they look smart and are lightweight material for the summer. Excellent value for the price however I did find the waistband was not generous when pulling them on over my hips but the were find and comfortable once they were on.

These trousers are a good fit but slightly longer than would have liked as am only 5'3" , regular size state 29" and is 30" can just about get away with this if wear a little heel instead of flat shoes which I normally wear. Material good quality, can dress up or down. Also cool to wear in the summer as material light.

A good fit and look good. However, the plastic stitching on the "classic" label is incredibly uncomfortable and left me with a red mark on my skin as it rubs. Almost impossible to remove the stitching. Such a shame to spoil a great product with a label!

My elderly aunt was delighted with these but I had to turn them up by 2 inches for her. I assume that your classic range is directed towards older people so please could your leg lengths reflect that. A 29" inside leg as the shortest option is not right for this older age group. I know you have a petite range of trousers but none of these has an elasticated waist.

Just what I wanted but find them small fitting. I usually buy size 12 but as I cannot get out and M & S do not have a courier service I am waiting for a friend to exchange them for a size 14. Won't put me off buying again.
