Slash Neck Straight Fit Blouse

Relaxed baggy fit, not completely happy with finish on neck line. Purchased 2 of these, one plain and one patterned. Unfortunately the plain grey blouse returned as neck edge frayed. In clearance so price good but I wouldn’t pay full price for this top.

For some unknown reason I cut the label off before trying it on (something I have never ever done before) it was far far too wide but obviously had to keep it.

Gorgeous drapey, silky fabric with a subtle sheen. There is a delicate, understated, semi-sheer, edging around the neck which adds to the style. The pale grey is more on trend than the navy. It's an attractive, classy top and more versatile than the navy which appeared rather drab in comparison but it's just down to personal taste. The back is of a different stretchy viscose but is beautifully matched in colour. It's an easy pull on style and has short grown on shoulders. A simple, no fuss, classy style. I'm 5'3" and the bottom hem sits between my waist and top of thighs if this helps. Going off reviews I downsized one size which gives a slightly loose, comfortable fit. Can achieve a more fitted look going 2 sizes down, depending on what you prefer. Sorry I can't comment on laundering yet but it is washable and personally I would try a lower 30 degree temperature to see how it creases first - hopefully no shrinkage although to be fair I haven't seen any reviews that say it does.

I like the material..front and back different. However although I am usually a size 14 this was really far too big so unfortunately it is going back, will try a size 12.

I bought this in the light grey colour. Although I have not actually worn it yet I have tried it on - I bought a size 14 (and it fits perfectly as it is generously cut). It is a perfect length in that it could be worn tucked in or left outside taking it down to about just the top of your hips (I am 5' 7"). The back of the top is not the same fabric as the front but it is not noticeable to people looking at you, you will just register the difference in texture of fabric. I have not washed and ironed this item so cannot comment on how it fairs from being laundered. I think this is an extremely useful top/blouse that I will use many times as it can be dressed up and used for smart occasions as well as casual. I would recommend it.

The sleeves were very low set so when you straightened your arm you could see your arm pit and bra.

Smart quite dressy top although could just wear with shorts or jeans. Lovely material. Bought a 10 and 12(which I usually have) kept the 10 ,just right

Very simple but one of those tops that feels good to wear and makes me feel well dressed. Definitely tempted to buy another. Wish there were more classy tops like this in M&S.

Having read the reviews,, I ordered a smaller size. I love this blouse. It's one of my best purchases form M and S ever! Please make in more colours, dark grey, rich sage. green. Classy colours for a classy blouse. This top will never date. Ordered another, same colour and size.

I ordered the Grey blouse to wear for both office and smart casual wear. The garment feels lovely to wear and looks really good. I was so impressed I also ordered the Navy, and a Grey one for both my daughter and mother. Excellent garment and fit.

It will be ok to wear under a shirt but I didn’t like the fabric.

Very thin, insubstantial fabric. Arrived very creased and messy. Very baggy and cheap looking. Sent it back

This is a lovely top. Generously sized but I like that for summer tops. Different fabrics for the front and back. Both soft and comfortable. I bought the grey which is a nice light grey to go nicely with denim and summer whites. It isn’t see through either which is always good for lighter coloured tops! Nice grown-on cap sleeves. Slash neckline sits well. Just a nice Spring/Summer top which I’m happy to recommend.
