Terrible

No, I don't recommend this

How an earth did this get through design planning and manufacture? Absolute rubbish and does not work. I used a nice fresh egg which ran straight through the mesh. I ended up with a pan full of dissipated egg white with a small cylindrical piece of yellow left inside. Please M&S discontinue this woeful item.

Worst purchase ever

No, I don't recommend this

I bought 4 of these yesterday and used them last night. They are everything the bad reviews say. Messy, expensive and not fit for purpose. Cleaning them was a nightmare. I am 65 years old and know how to poach an egg in the old-fashioned way. I thought these would make life simpler ... they do not. I shall try to get my money back. Why is M&S still selling them?

Cannot recommend

No, I don't recommend this

Absolute waste of money and time. Do not buy. Terrible product. The most expensive poacher I’ve seen. Not very efficient. It took more than the suggested 3 mins to cook the eggs. when the eggs were cooked they stuck to the mesh making it very difficult to get the eggs out without breaking them. The cooked egg white stuck to the mesh making it ver, very difficult to clean. .

Egg poacher

Yes, I recommend this

Interesting product. Slightly disconcerting having to crack egg into it over a cup/glass first with a small amount of leakage before lid can be closed. This means some egg white could be lost reducing the overall egg size after cooking. However, the eggs cook quickly and well in a nice shape without the fiddle of stirring water or hoping it sett,es to a good shape directly in the water. Overall, a handy gadget

Perfect poached eggs

Yes, I recommend this

This product is substantially more expensive than others on the market but makes perfect poached eggs . However you must follow instructions and ensure water is boiling before you place the sealed poachers in for 3 mins exactly . Once cooked , lift out and place on kitchen paper to absorb water before using a large dessert spoon to scoop out contents in one complete go.

Sad about the poachers

No, I don't recommend this

Terrible product. The most expensive poacher I’ve seen. So I thought it would be good WRONG!!! They are so big won’t fit in a normal saucepan side by side. Most of egg white falls through mess and impossible to get clean SAVE YOU MONEY

Waste of money

No, I don't recommend this

Total waste of time, effort and money. You need a particularly large pan to accommodate these to begin with and then found the eggs stick to the mesh so unable to get out without wrecking the whole thing! Have gone back to the old fashioned method!
