Mixed feelings about these quality denims
Yes, I recommend this
I love the denim, don't mind that it's harder than usual, delighted with 100% cotton - no elastane, proper jeans at last. These should wear to fit the wearer and I'm sure they will. But, again a problem with M&S cut. The 12's fit me ok, but as with most M&S trousers they're too big on the waist at the back, but more annoying Is the abundance of fabric In the nether regions. Realise they are not meant to be tight, but there's a difference between loose and looking like a nappy. I'm afraid if I keep them that this factor is just going to annoy me, so sadly will probably return. The 10's are way too small. In all other respects they are what I've been hoping for for years.

I think you just have to try them on
Yes, I recommend this
On balance I really like these jeans - the fabric is excellent and rolled down they are just the right length for me (I'm 5'5). The lack of stretch doesn't worry me as I prefer a slightly looser more traditional fit. That said I am a 14 and the waist and hips feel generous on me with quite a lot of fabric in that part - some have said they feel big and some small so I think you just have to try them. Fit on legs is good and flattering

Rigid jeans, no stretch!
No, I don't recommend this
Although the jeans looked great on the model online, when they arrived they were boxy in appearance, made me look shorter and stumpier than usual (I am 5'2). There was absolutely no stretch in them, I couldn't bend down to lace my shoes. I ended up rolling down the turn up as it emphasised my lack of height. The colour is great but why doesn't it have any stretch??? I would not recommend as they are certainly not flattering for the more petite ladies.

Really surprised
Yes, I recommend this
I really liked these, very surprised. As someone who actively avoids shopping for jeans as the main manufacturers do not design for larger hips and smaller waists very well, I certainly don't pick up denim in store and try on. Got these online in my usual size and I'm wearing them. Good quality, with a higher waist they even come up a little big but I prefer to be comfortable in jeans rather than poured into them. Impressed.

Fantastic for standing still in

These were gorgeous and an amazing fit -- until I tried to move. The high waist is very comfortable and the waist to hips ratio was perfect for me (i.e no massive gape - I wouldn't even need a belt). It's at least 15 years since I found a pair of jeans to fit me this well. Then I tried to bend my legs! Marks, PLEASE make these with stretch in the fabric - we're used to it now! True, after wearing and a few washes the fabric may soften up enough to make up for no stretch but these are priced too high to take that chance. Really sad.

Coming up small

Having bought jeans from M&S for years because they were a good fit to my shape, really disappointed with these. I do wear girlfriend jeans from other brands, so know how they are supposed to feel and fit. These are just not right.

Best jeans I have found in a while...
Yes, I recommend this
I love boyfriend jeans - comfy, don't cut your circulation and can dress up or down. Over the last year or so, I see they have been replaced with "girlfriend" jeans which from the many pairs I have tried, on do not work for me. These however are great for the price - they are made from cotton, so breathable. Love the dark wash and though they do not fit perfectly, they fit well. A hint of gathering around the crutch area, but hoping after wearing and washing that will drop out. I bought when on promotion , so even better value.

Terrible fit

I really liked the style of these jeans but when I tried them on they were far too small as they have no stretch in them I have several pairs of per una jeans which fit perfectly (and cost less) unfortunately I had to take them back

Trendy but tight

I loved the look of these jeans and was not disappointed when they arrived. Lovely deep indigo colour with contrasting turn-up. Would look good with slip on sneekers. Great length for a 5'4'' girl and the fit on the leg was neat, but good. However the waist was way too small - size 12 more like an 8-10 I would say. Have many a size 12 in my wardrobe and all fit perfectly. So disappointed to send them back. Do not understand what is going on with M & S sizing these days - something so reliable is now a lottery.

Not available In long length
Yes, I recommend this
I was overjoyed to see these dark denim jeans online, as loved the fit of the mid wash version I purchased earlier this year. Oh how things have changed, for a start they only come in regular length which even with 'turn ups' turned down not really long enough for a 5' 10" 'gal' and a much tighter fit as well. They have an inferior quality zip, and for a girlfriend jean why have they got the fly on the boys side (not so on my earlier ones) However I'd definitely buy if long length available Sadly returned.
