This would be a nice frame if it really was 4 x 4 inches. In reality the outer edge is 6 x 6 which is fine, but the aperture of the mount is well under 4 inches so my grandson's face is only just peeping out with the top of his head missing. I assume the measurements are only intended to be a rough guide. Would not recommend it on this basis but the quality seems ok and it would be fine for a smaller photo.

Bought one to add my dog pictures with some others the same colour. So good ordered 3 more and have an amazing gallery wall. These are such amazing quality, and the price unbelievable have paid loads more elsewhere for poorer quality. Very stylish will be buying yet more. Thank you M&S as always you've nailed it.

I had been looking for square frames for some time and so was delighted to spot some in M&S. They are so versatile as they can be freestanding or can be hung on the wall. I bought the white and the natural frame options as I wanted to frame some beautiful greetings cards I had received. As they were 6"x6" I removed the mount to display them. I bought some originally at £4.50 with a 20% off discount and then I was delighted when they were reduced to £3.00. Sadly I imagine that this mean they will no longer be available soon, but I love them, so will be sorry if they disappear.

For some reason there are very few square photo frames around. This is most surprising, as a necessary crop of a photo often leaves a natural square shape. This a very good frame for the price. I really don't know where the 4"x4" advertised frame size came from? A 6"x6" photo frame would be closer to the description. I resized my photo on my laptop and my 6" pic slotted into the frame very well. However if you really are looking for a 4"x4" frame, then you'll need to continue your search.

The mounts are smaller than advertised making them completely useless for my photos that are already printed. The other size frames in this range (6x4 etc) are exactly the same. Completely useless & a waste of money. Do not buy!

Be warned! I thought I was buying 4"/10cm square frames, as per the description. But the frames are much bigger, at 6 2/3"/17cm square. I should have read the reviews more carefully! The style and quality of the frames looks excellent, but as far as value for money and functionality are concerned then my rating has to be poor. Very disappointed, and so returning them.

4"x4" (10x10cm) frame
No, I don't recommend this
This frame does NOT measure 10cm X 10cm The internal measurement, i.e. the glass window, measures 14.5 X 14.5cm. The aperture in the cardboard insert is 8.8cm square. The "wooden" (MDF) frame itself is 1cm wide and 3cm deep. The quality of the frame seems reasonable enough, but when I ordered my frames online, I expected the dimensions given, to be accurate and in more detail. I specifically needed 10cmx10cm frames (which this is not) and will therefore be returning the frames I ordered.

Neither the frame, nor the opening within the mount are 4x4. The opening for photo is actually 3 1/4 ins square. The illustration on the website does not show a mount so I was not expecting one. I will be returning this. However the frame is nicely made.
