Do it yourself

Good quality and they look really nice. But did not expect to have to glue it together. First one took 45 mins second 25 mins. Reminded me of my flat pack days but with a bit more class.

New kitchen
Yes, I recommend this
We originally bought 2 stools last summer. However, we decided we needed another, so in January we ordered another. The stools are perfect, very sturdy and just the correct height.. Just make sure you put the slats in the right way around before they are glued. They are perfect as they are but I have painted over the cream the same colour as my pale shaker units and also oiled the oak tops etc paler to match my worktops; they now look as if they were made for my kitchen! They are reasonably priced too for what's on the market today.

Stool for Kitchen
Yes, I recommend this
Perfect and size and design and easy to assemble. I wanted a slimline stool to fit under a kitchen breakfast bar and this stool was not only the right height but also the right depth (as a lot of stools would not fit under the bar). in terms of assembly the stools were easy to put together and felt sturdy and well made. Good value with offer when you buy 2 stools making it a very competitive price, especially given the quality.

bar stool
Yes, I recommend this
I read the reviews before purchasing this and was glad i'd read the tip about the cross struts being the correct way up. Husband doesn't often read instructions so at one point used the wrong screws, but this was entirely his fault! no real problem assembling it, good sturdy product.just what i wanted.

Stunning Stools!
Yes, I recommend this
I had a few reservations about these stools due to the negative reviews but I am pleasantly surprised as the hubby had no issues assembling them & they are much nicer in the flesh than online. Lovely chunky wood, well made solid structure & looks perfect with our kitchen style/colours.

Looks nice but the legs don’t sit flush!?
No, I don't recommend this
This would have been the perfect bar stool for our kitchen and instructions are pretty simple enough, however because the legs taper in from the bottom to the seat they don’t sit flush with wooden pieces you have to fit between the legs - leaving a gap. Not what you’d expect for a £100 still. Very disappointing and will have to return.

Damaged goods and self assembly gone mad
No, I don't recommend this
They looked good in store at a reduced price so I ordered two for delivery I always carefully check packaging for damage before opening and did so when they arrived a week later. None seen I was a Bit concerned as one box appeared to have been re-sealed - could be a sign of a return by a previous buyer. I opened first box to find that at some stage the stool seat had been dropped heavily on one of its corners causing significant damage. The polystyrene wrap round the seat was damaged at the same point but not the box it came in. So, it's safe to assume the stool seat had been dropped after being wrapped and before boxing up in the factory out in Poland Before re-packing to send back I looked at the kit form this stool comes in and it really is a self assembly project - complete with glue for the joints! I don't recall applying for a job as a furniture builder for M and S I'm going to source a ready assembled damage free pair of stools. No fuss to have M and S arrange collection

A good product
Yes, I recommend this
I bought this and left assembly to my husband! It is a strong product and it looks good when assembled. There are pads on the feet, helpful if you are concerned about your floor. The website is not very informative but it might be helpful to know that it is made in Poland, weighs 5kg and comes flat packed with bolts, screws, glue and allen key. The instructions could be more detailed in parts. The legs are splayed, as you would expect with a stool, so the lower crossbars are slightly tapered. But they look square in the illustrations and the instructions do not draw attention to this, so it would be easy to attach them upside down if you weren't careful - some magnification of key parts would be helpful.
