Padded Coat with Stormwear™

This would be a great jacket for skiing. I bought it for a trip to St Ives where we had deep snow - even on the beach. I bought the jacket after seeing it on a blog MidLifeChic and I wasn't disappointed it was very warm and not sure how often I will get to wear it going forward. I bought it with a 20% offer and I think £100 was the right amount to pay. A couple of design features that would make it better. The coat is white and the stand up collar is lined with black fur bit the top bit was white. I got lipstick on the white bit within 5 mins of putting the jacket on. I needed to use the hood and had to get my husband to fasten it for me and it felt very tight round my neck. so could have been done with being a little looser. All in all it is a very warm stylish cat and I am sure I will be able to wear it for years.

Beautiful coat. Well made. Very warm. The hood did not fit however we tried. What use is a warm, waterproof coat without a hood?

This coat is very warm. As others have said, it feels heavy on the hanger yet it is light and comfortable to wear. People have mentioned the hood as being an issue to fasten, but there is a clever hidden way to do this so that the hood is correct for you by inserting the velcro on the hood into the little pocket at the top of the coat by the collar. The coat is ideal for cold windy days dog walking, but it is also smart enough to wear for other occasions. I am delighted with it. Do go down a size though.

I was grateful other reviewers had emphasised the sizing issue as I ordered a size down from normal and it fitted perfectly. It is a very comfortable, warm and cosy coat - and looks at least showerproof (not tested yet). I also like the teal colour although not the glo stripes. However the hood is less successful. I had to take off the 'fur' trim as it stuck out very strangely, and the hood itself is too big and not a good fit. If I had paid full price it would quite possibly have been returned, but at half price I will cope with the hood problems.

This was an excellent jacket, however, the sizing is way out. I am a size 6 and the jacket was absolutely huge on me. It was a pity as it was an excellent jacket. Not sure what Marks have done to the sizing.

Good quality winter coat really warm and a lovely emerald green colour. Hood a bit on the large size but overall am very pleased with my purchase.

Perfect for the cold and rainy weather. Hood large enough to keep well covered. Really snuggly. Purchased in the sale, so extremely good value at 50% off. I Wish it was available still in the white as may invest in a second.

Very pleased with coat just what I needed in the cold weather

Bought this on line having seen it in Norwich - read the reviews and it does come up large - I could have dropped a size but It gives me room to layer up underneath should that be required - we are off to a cooler climes in the New Year. First class length - keeping lower back warm and cosy . Lovely colour - I removed the hood as I prefer a hat. Good deep pockets for hats and gloves etc. Although well padded the coat is light when worn. I am delighted with this coat

Lovely looking jacket and great quality! Perfect for winter weather, and I bought mine as a ski jacket. However the sizing is really big (I had to go down a size and it is still large) but the silver lining is that I can layer up underneath!

A very good quality coat but I didn’t like the reflective bands in the sleeves and the pockets because I felt it more like a workman’s jacket. The main reason for returning this item was because I’m 4 foot 2 inches in height and this coat came up too big on me!

Just what I needed - a warm wind proof, snow proof jacket! Hood is a bit big, but fits well over ear muffs. Plenty of pockets, and wrist wraps to block out the winter chills!

I liked the colour and style and was really looking forward to wearing it. Like other people have said it came up rather big and you can easily go down a size. I actually find it very heavy and too bulky. I don't think I would feel at all comfortable driving with it on or even doing things like shopping as it is restrictive. The ivory is going to be a nightmare to keep make up off as so much of the collar stands stiffly up to the face and does not want to fold back. I think it is better for folks who like long walks, walk to work, ski or walk the dog; I don't think it would fit my lifestyle.
