Good size, looks smart love the design

I bought this to match shoes .... I returned the shoes so returned the bag also.

Ok, I confess, I really didn't need another bag, but I spotted this in my local store, hidden away on the bottom shelf of a display (a bit too stylish for my local frump-store M&S, probably). I had to get some other things that weren't available in-store (of course not), so I ordered them together with the bag online. It's such a lovely bag! It has a silver thread running through it, so it catches the light in places. It's roomy and just so chic. Someone else commented that the handles are black. Yes, they are, but so is the interior and base, so it's a constrast, rather than a clumsy oversight. There are little metal feet on the bottom of the bag, which I always think is a mark of a good design, because it keeps the base of the bag clean if you put it down somewhere. I bought it for my holiday and I can't wait to use it. Even my husband admired it and complimented me on it - first compliment I've had in 32 years of marriage, so it must be impressive!.

I ordered the shoes first & then decided on the bag as an afterthought. This is a lovely bag but, unfortunately it is damaged & I will have to take it back. I know there was a comment about the handles not being very nice but, because the bag is a decent size & there is always the temptation to put in as much as possible, I think they're fine.

The fabric, finish and size of bag were great. Especially love the fabric design. The black handles and trim were just too dominant and cheapened it. It would have been so much better with a finer look handles in black or the same handles in a pewter. Ruined the overall look of the bag when it could have been so stylish.
