This is the worst lego set i have ever built. The side pods and floor panels fall off every time its handled making construction very difficult and once again too many stickers

Fun build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun build for a desk model. Lots of stickers as expected so be careful to not put them on upside down! Driver is generic but he does come with hair if you take the helmet off.

I think this is an excellent series. I love building the F1 sets. Only issue is how expensive they are.

My friend actually got me into formula one and every since then i have been obsessed with anything formula one related so when my birthday came around i got 4 formula one lego sets which i absolutely adore with me life . I got the mclaren and hass speed champions a sauber mini lego car and a technic Mercedes and they are all so high quality and unique . Even with then all being from the same collection each set is a different build and experience. I highly recommend these sets and the experience of building them is even better if you are watching a race and building it at the same time .

Son is really enjoying it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is currently doing this lego set now and is loving it. He said the instructions are clear and easy to follow and I like how the lego is all separated into numbered bags making it easier for him to not lose the smaller pieces (which he usually does!) He's lego mad and is very happy putting it together, it's not a quick one to do which means it's keeping him busy for a while. Happy kid, happy mum!

This McLaren MCL38 was so fun to build; I love all the cool details from the real 2024 race car. The wider rear tires, sponsor stickers, and opening cockpit with the halo bar are all super cool touches that make it feel authentic. It’s the perfect mix of display worthy and playable, especially with the driver minifig that fits right in the cockpit. Whether you’re a LEGO collector or just an F1 enthusiast, there’s no doubt you will enjoy this. Fun to build, looks great on a shelf, and gives off major race day vibes. It also makes a great gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LEGO McLaren F1 MCL38 is a sleek tribute to racing proes, capturing the essence of Formula 1 with remarkable accuracy. The build is engaging, balancing complexity with enjoyment, resulting in a detailed replica that mirrors the real-life car's aerodynamic design. The model features authentic sponsor logos and tire details, enhancing its realism. Its display-worthy aesthetics make it a standout piece for both LEGO enthusiasts and F1 fans. While primarily a display model, the interactive elements, such as rotating wheels, add a playful touch. My son absolutely loves building these Lego cars and he says this one is his absolute favorite and cannot wait to get home to build this today! I will update as soon as the car is fully built.

Simple assembly, some fiddly bits

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely loved building this!! Whilst watching F1 haha! Really easy to follow instructions, design is perfect as there are moving parts aswell as the wheels giving the built model motion when pushed along. Durable as my 5 year old is happily playing with her favourite teams car and so far I've not had to put anything back together. Safety first - it includes the Halo ;) joking aside definitely not for children who put objects in their mouths so keep out of reach of those curious hands (and mouths) really enjoyed building this one and now currently have a couple more on order for the set

Terribly unstable car, worst Lego build

This is the worst Lego set I've come across. It is poorly designed & a very unstable model it falls apart when you put the slightest pressure on it. The floor of the car and side pods are not secure at all. What I don't understand is the 2023 version of the same car set 76919 was fine, sorry Lego you got this set very wrong.

Disappointed

I must have bought over 10k Lego sets for myself and my family. Over the recent sets (especially speed champion and f1) I have noticed a significant degradation in its design and stability. The parts easily fall off indicating a lack of sufficient thoughts in designing the sets and how parts connect each other. Lego is no longer as fun as it used to be and we often find it necessary to use glue to strength the connection which sounds ridiculous on itself. You should really pay attention to your quality rather than keeping raising the price. This is so disappointed and frustrating, not worth the money and time at all.

We know how frustrating it is when parts aren't staying in place. However, you should never need to use glue to keep your sets together. If you'd like a hand troubleshooting the build, please give us a shout at LEGO.build/Service-BV.
Perfect for Formula 1 and Lego fans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My autistic son loves Formula 1 and Lego, so this set was perfect for him. He can sometimes struggle with instruction books, but he found the free Lego Builder app a great support to help him along the way. He’s already halfway through building and can’t wait to display it when he’s done. I was very impressed with the amount of detail that has gone into the car design, although my son found the stickers a little tricky to put on. This could be him worrying that he would mess it up. He’s already talking about what car he wants to build next, so I can see him really loving this collection.
