This was my 5-year-old's first LEGO kit after having played with DUPLO for several years. She was able to follow the instructions by herself and build the kit. She likes to play with it, un-build it, then re-build it. Bonus is that she's a HUGE fan of "Spidey and his Amazing Friends!"

I got this for my daughter who is 3 and half. She was able to put the entire set together by herself with only minimal help with the mini-fig heads that can be a bit tight to push on. The 4+ instuctions are very good at keeping the steps simple with only a piece or two per page, and the mini-fig tracker at the bottom helps her remember which page she is on.

My son loves all the 4+ sets. he's especially fond of the spider-man sets. II like that he can follow the show and reenact the scenes with his lego sets.. My only complaint is that Lego is pulling at our parent heartstrings I think. all of these "4+" branded sets are a bit pricier in my opinion than say, an equivalent size "adult" set.
