LEGO® ART Hokusai - The Great Wave Craft Set 31208 (18+ Yrs)

I absolutely love this set. It was such an easy, relaxing build. Some might think that putting on the flat pieces might get a little overwhelming, but it wasn’t too bad. My favorite part was honestly the back. I’m new to larger sets but build small ones all the time so idk how the other art pieces are. I love the amount of attention the back got. I love how all the pieces connected the little rods to help from breaking. i love how the set also had two little pieces where the nails will sit, i can’t get over that. I know i should should focus on the front, but the back is just so amazing. This whole lego build was so great!!!

This Lego set is super colorful and has so much detail, it's really awesome!

I really like this set but was hesitant to buy it after reading reviews about the stability. I took a chance anyway and will say that the instructions are wrong for attaching the art piece to the frame. I used the app to build and thought maybe it was just the app but it’s the same in the book. Everything you need to fix the problem is in the box with extras you don’t need. According to the instructions, the pieces that are supposed to attach the frame and art together, are only attached to the frame by one row and the other row isn’t attached to anything. You really just need to shift the pieces to attach frame and art together. It takes a little bit of fitting pieces to see what works but it does come together for a solid piece. I’ve uploaded a photo of the back of mine after I made the necessary changes. It looks different than the finished product in the instructions but everything you need to make it sturdy is in the box.

Only con about this is its time consuming but not too match. Other than that, instructions were very easy and it turns out beautiful

I received as a gift, it's beautiful. Not my normal theme, but I thoroughly enjoyed the build. I had to use the builder app. The frame is solid, pieces stay intact, love the birds lol

I love this piece of Lego as art. However it's absolutely impossible to hang

Building this was very boring. It doesn't look very good. Like I get Lego likes to use random animals to represent other things but the white birds look terrible and just adds more horizontal surface for dust to collect on. On top of all that, the thing doesn't even stay on the wall. The brackets that lego specifically designed to hold up "paintings" pop right off the nail/screw if you sneeze at the thing from across the room.

The set was very tedious to complete. But the overhead view in the guidebook made it easy to complete.

Love everything and there is the builder app to help

This set was a tedious but fun build! There is certainly a lot of value per piece and when it all comes together, it looks positively stunning - the 3D aspect of it is really cool and each tiny detail makes it come to life, resembling the real artwork. So cool!

This set was very fun to build! Lots of different pieces used in different ways. I love looking at it!

I like the look of this set a lot. It has built in catches for me to put hooks in the wall to hold it. Also, the podcast element of it was cool. While I built it I got to learn more about the real life art.
