This light is suitable for use outside, but the mains adaptor needs to be inside or in a weatherproof outdoor socket. The outdoor socket should have a cover and a rubber seam to keep out moisture and be rated IP44. If you do no have an outdoor socket you can feed the cable into a garage, outbuilding, shed, or through a window.

Not warm white
It is misleading to describe these as warm white. I ordered them on the basis of this but they are bright cool white and have no warmth to them. They are being returned.
