I panicked when first trying on as it looks like it wouldn't go past my thighs, sigh, but kept going which was a struggle but so worth it once on! It holds in all the right places and it isn't suffocating at all. I practised sitting and standing and it felt so comfortable. I am so thrilled and can't wait to wear it under my posh dress dress to my son's wedding in August!

Lovely smooth fabric. Was a little tricky getting on but once on felt very comfortable and gave a smooth outline. I did fell more glamorous with it on as no lumps or bumps were showing.

I bought this after reading the other reviews. So I bought a size bigger. It took a bit of tugging to get on (my husband calls shapewear grunt and groans!) Once on I found it comfortable. Its no use buying firm support wear and expect it to glide on - then its not going to do the job you want. So I'm pleased to say. Yes, I'm happy with this.

First off, I'd never order a garment like this online without trying it on. There's such a huge variation in body shape and shapewear cut, and very little room for manoeuvre. I have a short body so haven't encountered any problems with the poppers. The lace is pretty and the rubberised fabric does hold my flabby belly in, with no jelly-roll at the edges. It's not the most comfortable garment ever but if I only wanted to be comfortable I'd just let it all hang out. My issue is with the sizing. I did manage to crush myself into a 12 in the changing room but came close to tearing the stitching. No way am I bigger than a 12, and in the styles with a bra top, fitted so easily into a 34D there was no point wearing it. I ended up buying a 14, which usually I am nowhere near.

Tight at first when putting on, but once on is really comfy. Flattens and smooths out all the lumps and bumps. The colour means it can be worn underneath most clothes. Purchased with 20% off, so well worth the money.

Purchased this in a 12 and 14 as I normally wear size 12 - could not get either of them on - in fact couldn't get them up over my legs. Totally unrealistically sized - I would probably need to purchase a size 18 and am not prepared to do that - very unhappy.

I LOVE this Body. It is SO comfortable and soft, I just forget I've got it on and it really holds me in well, as it is quite a firm hold, which is what I need. I love the thin rubbery material, which is just like a second skin, unlike many Body control garments I have tried, which are thick and bulky, show under clothes and are also uncomfortable. This is just perfect and does the job superbly and does not show at all under clothes. I like the fact I can wear my own bra, as ones with integral bras never fit properly, as we all have different figures and lengths of torso. This Body is also very easy to undo with easy poppers, which makes a visit to the ladies no problem. I thoroughly recommend this. Please keep making it and don't let it go out of stock, as so many things do, so quickly.

This was a nightmare. Bought on the tuesday. Worn once on the friday with a (thankfully) knee length figure fitting dress to a 300+ formal dinner. Was fine for the first hour. Then while at the table, it seemed the slightest movement made the poppers open. This happened over and over again. At first just one popper opened and a quick visit to the ladies sorted it. However, 3 times all poppers opened!! This was purchased in my usual dress size and it was very expensive but completely ruined the evening. such a shame because the fabric was very supportive, the lace was soft and coverage was good but i cannot score any higher because the catastrophic problems with the poppers completely outweigh any of the positives. Very disappointing especially for M&S.

This had to be returned as the rubberised component was extremely uncomfortable. Certainly wouldn't have been able to wear it for more than half an hour! Also, while the idea of the 'wear your own bra' shapewear seemed good, the result is that you have a distinct 'bra line' visible under fine dresses etc. Then you have the added problem of having a 'tights line round the waist! No where near as effect as the old system of a smooth 'body' with suspenders and elegant stockings giving the perfect smooth undergarment for slinky dresses.

Bought and fit on - thought at first that it was lovely fabric and fitted well. Took it on holiday and wore it once under a dress - sat down in restaurant and I felt the poppers open. Had to visit the loo numerous times to close the poppers ending in me putting my finger through the material. Paid £35 for something that was so not like M&S quality. Very disappointed and will be trying to take back.

When I ordered this item I wasn't expecting it to work miracles but for the price I expected it to do something - turns out I couldn't even get it on! The sizes are stupidly small and I ended up going two sizes up. Even then it didn't fit correctly, and didn't really do anything of use. It looks pretty for shape wear but a lot of money for something with such poor results.

This had the feel (and sound) of the rubberised roll-ons of the sixties and seventies if anyone else remembers them. It did hold me in, better than any other control underwear I've tried, it is pretty, the lace is lovely. So I tried a dress over the top, and that oh so pretty lace showed right through, even though the dress was not tight and was lined. So I sat on the bed while I cogitated the pros and cons of this body and the moment I bent to sit the poppers flew open. So I adjusted it, pulling it down a bit, tried again and ping, the moment I bent the poppers flew open again. I'm sending it back. The other body I ordered at the same time I shall keep. It didn't hold me in as well, but the poppers passed the sitting test with flying colours!
