No, I don't recommend this
I bought Dark Pocket Midi Skirt ,INDIGO MIX, size 12 in the summer and loved it. However this skirt, size 14, is too neat and puckers where the buttons fasten at the sides and it also lifts at the back.The fabric is too course, not fine denim, like my summer purchase. This one has to go back... yuck :( I really would love a second Dark Pocket Midi Skirt, please M&S)

After much searching finally managed to buy skirt in my size when going on day trip to Llandudno. Very pleased with all aspects of the skirt especially the length it is midi unlike other skirts that i have been mislead by.

Problem pockets

As a previous reviewer said, because the pockets are underneath the buttons which fasten the skirt, if you have rounded hips, the pockets pull open, and look bulky. Apart from that, good quality denim, and the right length, but unflattering for me, so it was returned.

Average denim skirt

I love denim skirts as they are such good season spanners....with bare legs or boots, great! So when I saw this one, couldn't wait to try it on. The quality is excellent, good weight, soft and slightly stretchy. I also like the flat front as it gives a better silhouette than a bulky zip but unfortunately, due to the pockets underneath, the sides tend to gape instead of lying flat. I am 5'6' and the skirt is definitely well below the knee and I certainly wouldn't describe it as a pencil skirt...it's A line. Sadly, when I took it home and tried it on again, I just felt that this length is neither here nor there and looked decidedly frumpy on me. Maybe this should have been made in different lengths to suit everyone's tastes? Going back I'm afraid.

Lovely design but centre back seam poked out

Really looking forward to trying this skirt as I just love denim skirts and thought side fastening would keep it nice an flat over my tummy. I ordered sizes 14 & 16 but in fact neither fitted - 16 much too big and 14 a little snug which I could rectify with moving the side buttons slightly. However there was a big problem with the centre back seam which poked out as if it was shaped for a side seam. Both skirts had this fault so have sadly had to return both. At this price I would have expected a better fit.

Straight knee length denim skirt

At last a straight knee length denim skirt instead of the usual long A line versions. Lovely soft denim, true to size ( ordered my usual size and it fitted perfectly). Love the buttons on the sides which give a nice flat front to the skirt. Can be dressed up or down, will get lots of use out of this skirt.

This was a poor purchase and went straight back. The style is terrible - it's described as a pencil skirt but it isn't. It's somewhere around a baggy A line. I was most disappointed.

I had no idea if this skirt would be OK for me because the description just says 'below the knee'. This is not enough information - it could be 29" long or 34" long and this makes a big difference to how it would look. The skirt I received was 29" at the front and 30" at the back - the difference was visible when I tried it on so sadly it will have to be returned. A pity, as the denim was a good colour, nice and soft, and the flat front was quite flattering.

Delighted with my recent purchase. Something I have been looking for. Perfect in every way with one small exception - the front split is rather long but that was easily sorted by sewing up a few inches. Is the skirt done in any other colour?

No back zip!

Was happy to find straight denim skirt,so many this year at m and s have been flared with semi elasticated waistband. Firstly I ordered this on line to collect in store.When it was produced it was packed in such a small bag that when I got home,it was so crumpled and creased.Why do you keep on doing this?The description also stated back zip.This is incorrect, you have to undo side buttons in order to wear it .So eventually the buttonholes will fray.Be warned

I ordered this with the intention of having it taken up as I love the style and it was described as being below the knee.However taking this up is not an option as it nearly reaches my ankles.Please can you make this in a regular knee length as the style is gorgeous. I have many per una denim skirts going back a few years and they all fit perfectly and are on or around the knee. Love the buttons on the side with the flat front and also the pockets.The denim is lovely and soft and the perfect colour blue. This style in a knee length would be really gorgeous.
