Am the delighted owner of a Denford armchair in the Acton Teal check. It is a gorgeous chair - a really comfortable 'sit' and the compact size is perfect for my smaller sitting room. The colour is a true teal - don't be put off by the blue-ish tone suggested by the on-line photograph (but I had already checked this out at the Edinburgh furniture store). It is well made and unlike some of the other reviewers I found no problem with the legs sitting perfectly and the seams in the check pattern match beautifully too. I hope they keep this in stock for a good while yet as I'd like to buy a second one in a few months time. Hint, Hint M&S!!

Disappointing Purchase
No, I don't recommend this
After fixing the chair legs and sitting on the chair, I became aware that the right leg was leaning inwards, causing slight split in the top of the leg. Customer Service arranged a repair, which necessitated removal of material and insertion of half a washer to level area and reposition the interior t/nut. Leg now straight but still slight split at top. This should not have passed quality control at manufacturer. Additionally, material not straight, which in a check, stands out. All in all I was very disappointed in the quality control of this item.

Love this chair. I can sit with my back supported and feet on the floor and that is so often not possible when you are 5ft 3inches. This is MY chair... well I thought so until a daughter in law sat in it and coveted it!

Lovely petite, but solid and sturdy chair. The fabric is lighter than appeared on my screen but I think nicer. Easy to attach legs. Obviously can't comment yet on how well the fabric will wear, but appears to be a substantial weight of cloth so high hopes that it will look this good in years to come.

I'm so pleased with this chair. The fabric and pattern are lovely and the seat and back are really comfy. It's also not too big, which can be hard to find. Plus I ordered it on the Sunday of a bank holiday weekend and it arrived on Tuesday morning! The colour is greener and lighter than in the photo so definitely worth seeing in person before buying. If you can't get to a shop, order the M&S Checked Cushion in duck egg - despite the different colour name and very slightly different check pattern, the teal colour is identical.

I am very happy with my armchair. Delivery was very fast but there was only one man who delivered & he struggled to bring it upstairs so I have to advised him to removed it from packaging easier for him to carry. I think bulky deliveries should be handled at least 2 people.

I bought this chair for my hallway, to replace a rather shabby old one I am delighted with it. It is very well made and the tartan fabric is perfectly matched up. It isn't for regular use so don't know how it would wear, but it is very comfortable sit in.
