Cotton Rich Trench Coat with Stormwear™

I love this coat. I read the reviews and was under the impression that I needed to order a size down from my normal size. I ordered a 10 and a 12 but the 10 wasn't available. I needn't have worried. The 12 is perfect. I don't think it's heavy, as someone wrote, and the hood is great. I have had a Burberry maxi rain/trenchcoat for 10 years. That is just as heavy as this one and doesn't have a hood. It is perfect for the Autumn/Winter as it's brushed cotton and will be amazing in the bad weather due to the wonderful neck fastenings and hood. I'm thrilled to have got this with 20% off.

As I get older I find I'm wanting to wear skirts more often, but under a short mac or 'anorak' style, they get wet and clingy around the legs. My new mac is deliciously warm with its fleecy lining, weighty so it feels luxurious, and covers my skirts. And it's certainly showerproof - I've tested that. Don't know whether it would stand up to a storm, but then I'm hoping not to be out in one!

This coat is perfect - Well Done M&S. This is exactly the kind of thing that you are so good at and should be doing. I have it in the camel colour - now, for goodness sake, get it back on-line in a size 8 in black so that I can have that too! PLEASE!!! This is your forte. It sells out as soon as it comes on-line in any size - that should tell you something - please take note and give us what we want!

Bought the coat when it first appeared in August whilst wearing summer dress, so decided to allow room for a jumper. Sales assistant said it looked perfect on me she fibbed. Unfortunately I wore it out in the rain first time so unable to take it back. Huge on me, hood covers my face, coat flaps open in the wind. Not a single comment on it from anyone. Will keep for prancing around on the beach with sleeves pushed up like the model in the ad.

A good length so will cover most lengths of skirt I wear and room underneath for a jacket or cardigan. Will hopefully keep me warm & dry this winter at a reasonable price.

Does what it says on the can. Keeps , dry.

I love my new raincoat because it is long enough to keep me dry and slightly big so I can wear a big jumper underneath in the cold winters months.

I absolutely love my new coat! It’s light weight and warm, but doesn’t leave me feeling hot and bothered once I’ve reached my destination. It covers three quarters of my body, so I don’t get wet on rainy days and the hood completely covers my head without drowning my face. This is my Best Buy this year!

This is the first time I have purchased a black trench coat having bought 2 beige ones from M&S previously I just love this coat it has loads of detail the length is perfect.I bought a size larger than I normally wear so I can wear sweaters underneath. I love everything about this coat and would recommend it’s purchase

This mac is stiff material which creases like crazy. It comes up a size too big. Looked great online and in the in-store video, but returned, sadly.

Great length, I am 5'7 and below knee/calf. Haven't worn in rain yet but confident it will keep me dry! Warm lining - it feels a bit clingy to some fabrics but doesn't spoil coat. Like the removable hood and button vent back. Got at 20% off so good price. A classic rain coat that looks smart and feels as though it will last

I'm 6'03" typically a size 12 -14 in LongTall Sally, however not enamoured of my narrow selection from them and the high street in general. I have chosen the trench in Camel, Size 14 - and could probaly have gone down a size. I will wear this over a suit, which is perfect in my professional life and with chunky layers or a jacket in my leisure. I'm often cold so the lining, warmth without bulk works, & length was a consideration for me, it falls mid-calf which is perfect. The arms are long enough, but l can also roll them up to suit the current trend, or wear as they are in the current weather, several days of constant rain here. The sizing is supposed to be fashion led, however day to day preferences may not always be.The styling is appealing to me, a nod to bigger, pricey labels - the price point here is about right for a quality garment. This will receive a lot of wear.- thanks M&S I can imagine that for some petite women this may feel too much /long, but that is easilt remedied with other choices available - taller women don't often have much in the way of variety. As an additional feature the hood actually helped me decide whether to go for this or another option. The hood fits perfectly, not pullling at the back due to lack of support like some pieces not designed for proper ;reach'. I agree it would be good to have something to store the hood in for balmy days, it is not difficult to find something.

tried this in store but the 12 was too big .So disappointed that Icannot get hold of a 10.......0r indeed anything!!!!II look everyday in case you have restocked as it such a lovely stylish garment. Please make some more!!. The camel shade is lovely
