Checked Wide Leg Trousers

The trousers are really good quality and fit nice to have trousers that are not black or navy inthis size

Was quite excited when i collected my order from ordering on line. When i opened the bag, my first thoughts were, OK not what i expected but......when i tried it on, ohhh no. The piping was so thick and pronounced that looked like i was walking on stilts. The wide leg was wide but the whole design was just not right for me.

I liked these trousers but I was surprised when I tried them on and found them to be far too short.The issue with M+S trousers for the last few years has been being way too long.I realised they were in fact 7/8th although it doesn't say this anywhere on the page.I know a number of other reviewers have raised this issue.Surely by now the page should have been corrected. The trousers are very comfortable don't crease and look smart or casual depending on what you wear them with

These are so comfortable, so smart, so on trend. They are prefect. Great with loafers, boots, dolly shoes. I want more of these in colours. I would fill my wardrobe with them.

When I wear these trousers I feel so good in them and I have had loads of comments about how nice they look. They are very comfy with the elasticated waist and a perfect length for me as I am tall, all in all a very good buy.

I am 5’3” and bought these in a short length to wear with ankle boots. I thought they looked very smart and I didn’t even realise they were pull-ons at first (I was looking for the zip in the changing room!) - they are not ‘granny clothes’ at all. Very happy indeed with them so far - wore them to work yesterday and got lots of compliments. I did wonder if they might go baggy round the beam end, as I have to drive 50 miles each way to/from work (so spend a long time sitting down!) but so far no problem...

Great fit, smart for work, comfortable. Very pleased with the length and size, good to wear with smart boots and a roll neck, lots of compliments from work colleagues.

I wondered if I should not have ordered a Regular fit, but the last trousers I ordered from M & S Regular were a little short in the leg but as I wore them during the summer months, they were OK. However, this time I ordered Long and was worried until I tried them on, and they are just right! Loved the quality, the delivery took place as anticipated, so overall a satisfied customer. I like the tailored look of the front seam.

M&S short is becoming too long for us shorties! These trousers are meant to be cropped but on me they were too long and didn't look right. Had to return for a refund.

Have great difficulty finding the right length trousers in M&S these days. Normally short is fine in wide leg trousers, but these were far too short. Fed up having to pay to get the length altered. Sadly returned.

As a 5’4” large size lady I was looking for some smart work trousers. Like many of the commentators I do not like the 3/4 length. I ordered these in long and they sit perfectly at floor level to wear with shoes. They do not have pockets (which I believe add to the bulk around hips) have elastic waist so ideal for work with no buttons cutting through your middle and feel very comfortable

Love these trousers!! They will be perfect for autumn/winter with a longline top or sweater & ankle boots. Ordered the short length which is perfect for me at 5’2” & love the easy pull on fit with no zip

I'll start by making it clear that I love 7/8ths trouser lengths so this is not a new thing for me. I ordered two pairs in size 10, one short and one regular. I'm 5'4 so most of the time the short length suits me best and the short length was absolutely perfect for 7/8 th trousers however, what I hadn't realised was the body length is a good 1.5 inches shorter than the regular size leaving me with a muffin top and feeling they were coming down! In the end I kept the regular size 10s and shortened them to the required length, fortunately the fabric isn't too thick but, they no longer hang quite as well as the short pair did, I don't think anyone else would be aware of this but it does leave me feeling slightly disappointed. The elasticated waist description makes them sound like granny trousers but really they're not, if i hadn't already seen them in-store I wouldn't have ordered them on this basis, basically they're pull-on trousers with a flat front and back. These are well styled everyday trousers that fell just short (or long) of being fabulous. With regard to the trousers washing well, I haven't yet washed them but the website would not allow me to submit the review without ticking yes or no, so to qualify this statement I would imagine they will wash ok but no guarantees. - M&S you need to get your house in order!

There is an issue here with the website as the trouser label states 7/8th trousers hence why they are short. I have these now in navy, black, and another check and I love them they are very flattering, hang well and as culottes are on trend. They wash well and don’t need ironing just hang to dry. See them for what they are and give them a chance, wear with loafers or trainers and they look very smart.
