Checked Tailored Dress

I’m really pleased with this impulse buy. It was ideal for the cooling autumnal weather and it felt great. I bought a bigger size so that it hung beautifully. I would happily purchase this style of dress again and again.

Lovely dress but not very flattering on me. I'm too short and the ruching was very prominent around the middle making me look even bulkier than usual! Would suit a tall thin lady and look very sophisticated

I bought this specifically for work and was a little wary about how the ruching over the tummy would look but it looks ok! I am 5’4” and a size 14. I ordered a 14 in short and it fits perfectly, the length falling on the lower half of my knees so for me, perfect! Only tried it on so I can’t yet say how it washes. Overall, very comfortable and smart. I can’t wait to wear it in the office :-)

This dress is a really great work dress, and i am a little reluctant to return it. The material is lovely, the style is also good. However the 'ruching' section over the belly actually seems to give me a belly and puffs out. I think if you have a little tummy, it will hide it well - but if you don't have a belly then it makes it makes you look like you have a belly doesn't sit well across the tummy section. I am a size 10 in all other m&s clothes but bought a size 12 as i know these fitted dresses are a little on the snug size. The 12 was a good fit all over - apart from the puffed out tummy area - so i would probably say size up when buying this dress if you want it to be comfortable

This dress is lined so it fits perfect great length with three quarter sleeves which are ideal for me. There is nothing to dislike about this dress ideal for an evening out or a afternoon lunch with the ladies. The colour is quite flattering and I do like the check design which again can be worn on any occasion. The price was very good and with 20% off made it perfect. More of the same M&S very happy customer

Dress was perfect for wedding guest smart but comfortable, the only problem, the sleeves could have been slightly wider. Loved the look, will wear for other occasions. Great buy
