Checked Straight Leg Trousers

I didn’t like the fit of these trousers or the length, I ordered the short length and they were not either 7/8th or ankle length on me. I didn’t like the material either

I must say I love the feel and look of these trousers. They are so comfortable to wear. I am size 16 and 5ft 5ins tall. I usually buy 16 regular length and have no problems. I wanted to give them 5 stars but they fell just short..literally! These are so nearly there but need just another half inch to an inch more in the leg and they would be perfect. I am going to keep them and wear them with ankle boots as they really are lovely. But come on M&S most of these reviews are saying they are a bit short, so sort it out.

I like the various checked trousers that are around and these are smart but not for a larger lady like me sadly. They were a little small in my usual size 20 and the large check didn’t suit me. I returned them but have found a nice pair in the Classic range with a much smaller check which are fine and fit well.

I am reasonably pleased with these trousers. However, they are quite thin so not very warm. They will be fine with warm tights in the winter, so I am quite satisfied.

A very comfortable fit, I like the straight leg too. I also prefer the elasticated waist saving buttons and clips.

Today I tried on practically every pair of trousers in the store and could only find 2 legging to fit. All other trousers were miles too big on the backside for me! I never used to have this problem and wonder if M&S sizing has changed dramatically in this area?? Please bring back smaller backside pants, or have modern girl shapes changed in this area?? Does anybody else have the same problem or is it just me???

Purchased on line. Thought they would be fairly good everyday trousers . Bought aside regular together with another pair of trousers. This pair were very short and the other pair very long. Returned them both. I’ve seen other people have had problems with inaccurate lengths. I know they aren’t expensive but surely someone has a tape measure?

Liked trousers online...but what is going on? They are from the Classic collection which now appears to be called Collection! They are pull on trousers, not as description with zip!! Have been buying short length trousers but short gives 7/8 ankle grazer look. Regular if you want full length ( am 5'3".. haven't worn medium since sizes lengths changed over 10 years ago) Not sure ankle grazer good look for ladies 60+....still think they look as if they have shrunk. More slim leg than straight as in description. Items not available instore so had to order twice online and visit store to collect each....ordered usual short then had to reorder regular! Having said all that, I like trousers, so will keep one pair and return other.
