Checked Pleated Midi Skirt

This is such a nice skirt I love the style ,material and colour .It is so comfortable and warm is easy to dress up or casual..I will now buy the other colour.

Had to return skirt. I happen to be an shape with a waist considerably smaller than hips and it did not fit me at all.

Lovely skirt. Heavy material and even though it's unlined it falls nicely. Tried the size 10 and it was too tight on the hips. The size 12 was far too big on the waist and hips. Had the black check one in a 10 and that was a perfect fit! Very disappointed as it's a really nice skirt. Been returned!

So so excited to get my hands on this skirt as it reminded me of my old school skirt. It was such a disappointment to find the cheap buckles and button actually weren't even functional and just there as decoration. Why bother putting on cheap embellishments that have no function? It just ruined it! I had to return the skirt as I couldn't stand the buckles and it just spoiled the whole look and feel. On top of that, the fit and length were a little off, I would have had it tailored but if it wasn't for the added annoyance of the embellishments I would have kept it.

Unfortunately l had to return the size 12 which is my usual size when shopping at M&S. The waist is definitely coming up a tad smaller than usual, need the next size up for the pleats to lay properly. Sadly the 14’s are now out of stock or l would have swopped it. At £49.50 when not on offer it really should be lined.

Marks & Spencer - I was extremely disappointed with this skirt. The appearance looked good, the material was a good quality and price-wise, was a bit pricey but bought it when there was 20% off, so made it more appealing. Normally I wear a size 12 but, having read other reviews that it would be prudent to order the next size up, I ordered a size 14. Even the size 14 was a bit tight. However, the overall finish of this garment was very poor with the pleats (for some reason) not all facing in the same direction. Between the side seam and the buckle pleat at the front, the pleats were reversed. One pleat was so badly stitched (at the front) that the whole garment hung askew. So disappointed and the skirt went back.

I wasn't sure whether to keep this skirt. I was disappointed that it didn't have the traditional kilt adjustable fitting. I have bought size 16 trousers and skirts recently, but this size 18 only just fits. It needs to be worn with a slip as the wool is very scratchy. It is good quality and is the kind of item that will last a long time, so I decided to keep it.

This skirt has a zip at the side seam and there is no pleat on this side. The lack of a pleat spoils the way the skirt hangs. The skirt is also larger than other M&S skirts on the waist. I returned the skirt

wanted some sort of kilt for a while this fits the bill although didn't buy till reduced as thought overpriced to begin with

Beautiful skirt but sizing is erratic .I also had difficulty in finding long size so did not purchase the skirt.

For the first time in years I have bought several items from Marks this year. I feel that Marks really are starting to listen to what people want. So this skirt is very on trend although it could be classic too. Similar skirts are available at top fashion stores however this is far better quality than most. Very happy with my purchase. Will be wearing this with ankle boots and an oversized knit. Very cosy!

This skirt is lovely quality, heavy matterial hangs beautifully. I bought my usual size but had to change it for the next size up as the skirt was very small. Once I had the right size, brilliant.

Not for me. Made me look like a balloon.The pleats were in my opinion very ridget and didn’t sit well around my hips .

Great modern take on the kilt. Always liked a bit of Black Watch tartan..such a classy tartan. It fits well and I would say true to size. Not sure if pleats will stay in as I haven't put them to the test yet. The overall quality is good but perhaps leather buckles would have have made the quality great.
