Checked Baker Boy Hat

Lovely hat. Warm and stylish. Fabric composition is 85% polyester and 15% wool. It has a woolly texture with a nice quality weight to it. Has a tartan weave effect with tones of red, burgundy and royal blue in even proportions and a bit of black. The red adds a pop of colour without being brash. It is fully lined in a silky feel navy polyester. A proper hat frames your face and looks much smarter than a beanie in my opinion. I find women’s hats small for my head but this one is a generous size, it fits well and stays put having an elasticated insert at the back. I can wear my long hair twisted up and shove the hat on for an instant glam fix with lipstick and a smart cardigan for school run or shopping. Will work with a wide range of smart/ casual or everyday casual outfits. The care label says dry clean only, but I bought the same one in a plain navy colour the previous winter and it handled a gentle wash quite well. With regular use most days the navy one withstood use well but needed a clean. I used a gentle hand wash cycle and spin with a non-bio detergent, in a fine mesh bra bag and let it air dry indoors. This is a versatile wardrobe accessory that will last for years.

This one-size hat was on the large side for me; it would have been good to have a choice. I have kept it though and am pleased with the style as well as it keeping my head warm.

I have short hair, but still this look fab, reminded me of the 60's era. Co-ordinated well with recently purchased scarf and coat also from M & S. I would certainly recommend.

I always wear the above mentioned jeans in a few years but isn't' the fashionable style out of fashion or will these go out in the spring time. The reason why I find it comfortable to wear.
