Cut the hot cross buns (4) in half.

In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs (2), milk (100 ml), sugar (1 tbsp), cinnamon (1/2 tsp) and vanilla extract (1 tsp).

Warm the salted caramel sauce (6 tbsp) gently in a pan according to the pack instructions.

Dip each half of the buns into the egg mix to coat.

Heat the butter (1 tbsp) in a large non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Add the buns and pan-fry for 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Serve with the ice cream (4 scoops) and warm salted caramel sauce.
