step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the cornflour (4 tbsp) and Chinese five spice (3 tsp). Evenly coat the beef strips (1 pack) in the spiced cornflour.
step 2
Combine the sweet chilli sauce (2 tsp), cider vinegar (1 tbsp), chilli ketchup (2 tbsp) and soy sauce (2 tbsp) in a small bowl and set aside.
step 3
Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over a high heat. Once hot, add the beef strips and cook until crispy and remove from the pan.

Reduce the heat slightly and fry the red peppers (1), half the red chilli (1/2), half the spring onion (1) and ginger paste (2 tsp) for 3 minutes.

Add the sauce to the pan and allow to bubble for 2 minutes. Return the beef to the pan and stir to coat. Remove from the heat and top with the sesame seeds (1/2 tbsp) and remaining spring onion (1) and red chilli (1/2) (if you like the spice!).
