The figures are excellent for small hands that enjoy setting up play scenes and recreating stories. My 3 year old grandson was impressed. The “playmat” was just the bottom of the box. I got them at a discount. To be honest I had been waiting for them to be reduced as I do not really think they were worth it at the full price. I bought them to go with other 2nd hand Happyland toys. On their own I am not sure they would have enough play value.

Busy Town Playset
I bought this set for 2 year old granddaughter. Very pleased with the contents except i had thought the road layout was a mat, when in fact it was just the cardboard backing to the box, so won't last long. Good for the reduced price but overly expensive at full price.
